Take a deep breath

Hey all, Bassi-Varyag here. I have noticed a trend lately that is kind of getting to me. People taking this game so personally.

I know we get into crazy situations and if you are like me get pretty excited when we are having huge battles and ships are exploding around us, but we have to start taking a step back and realize that this is just a game.

The past couple weeks I have seen people taking everything as an insult and going way past RP in insulting others as well as jumping to cursing more and more. Remember all, if you are really upset about something, you can go a long way to calm down by PMing someone and just talking it out. Take a deep breath, count to ten and just talk.

We are a small tight knit community that have come together to love a game most of the world has forgotten about. Whether you cannot stand a different person or not, we are kind of a family here and should treat each other like that. There is NO other community for any other game in the world like this one and I love it. I hate to see us ripping each other apart in game like I have seen lately.

I will be the first to admit that I have done this in the past and appologize for it.

If you respond to this I don't want to see names or factions pointed out unless it is in a good way. This is suppost to be the anti-flame.

I agree, always have agreed, but sadly some, including me even sometimes, can't help but take some things personally. I do however, try to remember it's a game and we're all people.

Taking things personally is no good. I mean, hey, Varyag directly or indirectly leads to plenty of my deaths, but it's nothing personal.

Take a deep breath, calm down, and, if there's a problem of some sort, talk to the person first. :)

yep, very right there. i realized i was getting to involved a while back and now just play when i feel like it. a few of my chars have fallen into the void but oh well...if i don't play it enough to keep it for 40 days then it is not worth it.

I see this happening to myself as well, for instance when I'm attacked by 2 people, without them RPing it nicely (saying "hey, you get out" and firing almost instantly) and there's 1 more of em floating around I might even attack the last one and try to get an instakill (Bomber):((Sorry guys)
