Ok, i've been interested in signiture making and was wondering if someone could run me through the basic way to make them, like what programs are the best for that sort of thing.
And I was also wondering how do you remove your ship from screenshots but still have the background where the ship was, how to get pictures of your ship from a distance, and how you cut the picture of the ship out of the rest of the picture perfectly.

[17:45:39] Wolfs Ghost (Murphy): Tom, you have problems. Go kill yourself.
[19:25:12] Johnny (Jam): Tomtom, I will beat you with a spoon.
[14:22:56] Prarabdh Thakur: KILL HIM WITH A SHEEP.
[17:40:48] Eagle (Junes): Tom should be slapped with a spoon.
[11:32:18] Warspite: Thank you for being so awesome Tom. <3
[18:17:36] Metano: I love you tomtom
[20:06:24] Warspite: I will seriously give you epic head.

Photoshop's your best bet, but failing that GIMP or paint.net will do fine too.

Photoshop, hands down. Great user interface, easy-to-learn techniques and a bunch of nice options.
If you don't have the, err, means to get it, I'd recommend GIMP, apparently being the most powerful free software.

Clone Stamp in Photoshop is how I do it. There are programs for this, but I prefer doing it myself.

You can't exactly alter the camera distance in FL, so you'll need renders for that. (Or try getting a shot of a NPC flying the ship you want)

Mask layers. It might be a bit of work, but it sometimes is just what you need.
As I've been cropping and cutting for a couple years now, I actually can do more with a mouse than with a pencil. Sad truth, I know.

I'd recommend GIMP if you can't get photoshop, its a good package and free.
I use both CS3 (rarely - at uni) and GIMP (at home) actually prefer a few elements of GIMP (such as the selection box is easier to adjust)
If you want the background without ship the best solution is cockpit view, if its a shot already taken then the clone stamp is a good way, or inpaint (if its still available free) works to an extent if you struggle, but a better quality could always be produced manually if you know how.
As for ship renders, you can change the ship distance when you activate discovery? (never tried it)
LA's are very good quality, but if you need it from a different angleght source then a careful cut around will do the job.
