What is the refire rate measured in? When they say 2.00 or 16.67, what does that mean?

I'm trying to do calculations for damage per second of guns. I plan on posting my findings after.

It means how many times the gun fires in one second.

So, a 2.00 would mean 2 shots per second.

Refire is measured in shots per second.

A 2.00 gun will fire twice per second, whereas a 16.67 will fire 16 2/3rds

EDIT: David beat me to it.

I figured that. Just wanted to double check. I'll post my findings in a moment.
