hi

I have problems with connecting to discovery rp server. actually to any server, i dont see any when i'm online.
I have installed and reinstalled FL, FLMM 1.3, Disco Mod 4.84, FLWebLauncher etc. numerous times, always the same, no servers. just endless ''connecting to global servers''..

i read and followed all tutorials, loads of similar problems on fl forums, nothing worked, never saw any server appear on the list. i tried direct connect with FL Discovery RP shortcuts, turning off firewalls, starting w/ Global Server Workaround 0.9, etc..

i'm running out of ideas so if someone has some idea i could try, just bring it on

your must add this to the end of the target line in the shortcut properties:

If you are using a router, some router have biult-in firewall.
You have to set up protocol rules yourself in the router setting interface to allow the connection.

There are several Anti-Virus programs that are not particularly FL friendly. I recently had to change from AVG to Averia because AVG changed something and no longer allowed me to play FL online.

I agree, this really looks like an Anti Virus issue.

I first had AVG, but with the last updates it was no longer working (Freelancer that is). Then i tried Avast!, but no luck there as well.

I now also have Averia, and i have no problems in connecting whatsoever.

What anti virus programme are you running?

I had a nightmare on Vista getting FL to work.

Anti virus off or uninstalled if need be, firewall, windows firewall and windows Defender off and there services disabled.

Dboys tutorial is the best reference if you are using Vista http://discoverygc.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=9310
