So Gaians have some sort of Alliance with Corsairs, but are they allowed to use their ships, for their criminal branch (not the peaceful Gaians that only talk but don't act)

A Gaian would be allowed to use Corsair ships, but you should rp it out with the Corsair Council asking for permissions and such. There are limits to any alliance when it comes to equipment and ship restrictions.

Taiidans are as generic as Titans. Anyways, the fact is that a Gaian in a Titan is no different to a Rogue in a Sabre, and a Gaian with Salamancas or Del Cids is no different to a Hacker with Krakens. My advice would be to stick to Griffons/Eagles/Preagles, possibly with a lunchbox if you must have something bigger, arm them with Gaia's Angels (or flashpoints if necessary) and debs.
