I did not use F1 in space nor would I ever use that. That is cheating pure and simple and I am not here to cheat or break server rules. My connection and computer crashed making me fall out of game and when I tried to return the server would not appear on my list. This is very discouraging to me because I truly love playing on discovery and enjoy everything about the server. Very disheartening to have someone take your money and weapons for something you have no control over. Furthermore this was the first and only time this has happened to me and instead of a warning or something I have everything taken from me. Also there was no reason for me to use F1 I wasn't in any danger of being killed or caught. The person following me was not in range of shooting me and I was close to escaping. Originally when I played Freelancer mp for the first time several years ago on a server that didn't guard against anything I quit due to all the cheaters. Also I am fairly new to discovery and up till now was very excited about playing here. There have been several times my game crashes to desktop or I lose connection for one reason or another. Does that mean I face the same harsh consequences every time or worse like a ban? It does seem that I am guilty and there is no appeal to state my own defense. I have sent messages and still have not gotten a response. Guess that means what is done is done even if it is unfair and untrue. Strange that you would treat a player that has been in game for a very short amount of time this way.
After reading some of the other posts seems like there are a lot people maybe getting hit unfairly. It's a shame to with rulings like this it may hurt this great game. Also I would say it maybe time to remember that this is a game and enforcing the rules is necessary. Now if you abuse that power it can destroy all that your working to achieve. Might be time to exercise some compassion and understanding some live and let live if you will. Lastly the decision to confiscate all of someone's belongings shouldn't be a decision that is rushed into too quickly. Even though its just a game it is a game that we all are putting time into and time is the one thing we cannot get back. By confiscating everything someone has worked for really destroys all the time that person put into the game.

This is your faction leader speaking.
Everyone goes by the same rules, everyone pays the same penalties. There can never be proof that you actually lost connection, so this is the penalty.
As you're new to the Congress and Discovery in general, I'll overlook this myself. But you know how things work here now. This is where it helps to know people, and if your connection drops, make sure you tell someone and be ready to face that sanction anyway.
Things are stiff here, and it's got to be that way. Otherwise, as you noticed, the gankers and cheaters would overrun what we do here.
