Recently, I heard there are new rules for ships with the name "Liner" in them. Hearing that they've even become it's own ship class. I've also heard that there will be a new ID requirement (IE generic Trader ID will not allow the new "Liner Class")
Could I possibly get some confirmation on this? It would be really sad if I had to put the Aerith up to dry dock.
first of all yes the liners will be seperated from the general transport class vessels with regards to the ids that are allowed to fly them. to see if you will still be allowed your liner or if you have change your ship or your id just go and check the id lists:

I'm a bit confused. Of course I ran to see what you had listed under Zoners. My sister Mynx flies a cruiser, which is permitted under the ZONER ID card that I have in MY ship. However there is no mention of such in YOUR submission. Mynx happens to have a Zoner Guard Tag, so the argument of capital ships really shouldn't be an issue in this mod or the one to come. And what is this special OPs ID? This is the First I have heard of this and I read the forums EVERY day.
Perhaps I'm splitting hairs here, but if you are going to make a statement, I'd prefer it be done accurately, eh? No disrespect intended. Just a bit edgy on what I'm reading here, as it seems to limit the information and not completely reflect the ID I'm carrying in my ship.

well i just crossposted it from the id proposal thread, go and read everything in there perhaps after that it will become clearer. there will be a split between normal ids and guard ids. at the moment we just have one id for each faction and two tags/iffs, the normal one and the guard one. next mod version we have a seperate id for each faction and their guard and they will be allowed to fly different ship types. in case of your cruiser you already have the guard tag and normal zoner id so in 4.85 you just have to buy the guard id and you are good to go. if you have the normal zoner id and normal zoner iff you would only be allowed to fly up to gunboat class vessels. to fly something bigger you would need to upgrade to zoner guard id and zoner guard tag, i hope its understandable and correct what i wrote here, i only tried to summarize the essence of what was posted in the id proposal thread, and if you have some issues with the ids and how they are going to be i would suggest posting in that thread so changes might be considered by the dev team. hope i could help a bit.
