With the official formation of the Expeditionary Division, the Inner Phalanx saw fit to outfit the fledgling group with the needed equipment and vessels to do their tasks. the Glaring was ordered as a base hull and shipped to Invergordon. From there it was picked up and brought back to Valravn Citadel for refitting. Being outfitted with the best survey, scanners, and mobile research equipment available to the Covenant, the Glaring was set to be a main stay operational vessel for the Expeditionary Division.

During it's maiden operation, it was cut off and damaged by Core vessels.
