Looking at the trailer, I am doubtful that it will need more than 4.84, but it would be handy to know if there is any increase in resources required to play the next modification in the series.

I ask this purely because my PC is on its last legs, I can run well outside of fights and loads of players in one spot, in fights though I turn all graphics off but object detail to attempt to get a lagless fight client side.

So, any increase in resource demand?

I have heard the reqs will be even lesser, because of the optimization. ( Seriously. )

Please God let that be true. Is that just client side, or will there be improvements server side too?

customizable

on the one hand things will run better ( due to the aforementioned optimization ) - on the other hand, there re options to add post rendering effects - which will then require a bit more CPU.

The game could be a little more demanding on the GPU (vid card) as many more effects have been added to the game as well as a few features. However, the difference will be really minor and it is still possible to change the quality of the ingame graphics while activating the mod and while ingame (like 4.84).

And dito the other, yes, a few things have been optimized, but I don't know how much. So in the end, you have a pros and a cons, which makes 0 together:D

to say it like that

it all runs perfectly fine on a 1200 duron, gforce 5500 fx with 1gb ddr ram. - i don t think many ppl run that game on a lower end computer.

Your video card is letting you down.

If you have a PCI-E slot on your motherboard, you can pick up an Nvidia 8400GS for about 30 US dollars.

ehh boy...David, look at his comp specs again...
Now, do you really think that a socket A computer motherboard would have a PCI-e slot?

Fletcher, maybe you could find a secondhand old AGP card for like 10 buck. Shame you don't live nearby... I have a depot of AGP video cards
