I will go there with my Gaians if i want to. I will go there with my Gallians if i want to. I will go there with chars i'm changing to Gallians. 'nuff said.
Of course, from a RP pov, the lockdown makes sense. There's something new, unknown with unknown targets or threats. What would you do if you find something new? Send in experienced people like scientists or explorers under heavy guarding, while keeping everyone else out.
Another thing is...
How can Bretonia acutally shut it down if they have no connection towards it? No Bretonian bases there at all. I think if someone should have the right to shut it down it would be IMG/CR or KNF. They are having the most power in these sectors at the moment.
In a brilliant tactical movement, i charged backwards.
Orkney is an island up near Scotland, its british, and these systems should be more or less Bretonian juristiction, there is a link to it from bretonia, but it happens to go via the Gaian Guard system.. and oversight I suppose.
Would be ideal if a few holes were moved about a bit, I think it'll be a nice place to fight and such, an OC base and a link into tau 23 for any sod who wants to come from kusari or elsewhere.
After all, Tau23 is a horrible place to fight, all them rocks are laggy and bumpy.
This is just basis for what could be great RP in my eyes. BAF says one thing, IMG does nothing, Council, CR and several other object. Big fight. Big discussions in role play. Has a lot of potential.
Why exactly BAF did blockade is mystery to me since they have real war in their own system. But lets use this to have some fun.

From my own encounters (as a Corsair) with the BAF, they are almost entirely based (for regular patrol anyway) on VHFs which is to be commended. I can't imagine though that this is very much fun when you suddenly get raped by a random Kusari fleet spawn in your own system. For much the same reason I suspect the quantity of bombers in use by the Corsairs is likely to decrease - previously if you wanted an exclusively pirating setup (ie full shieldbusters + supernova) you could do it, minus some ignorable annoyances from Hessian NPCs. If the Wilde spawns in Omega 5 are at all frequent then this will no longer be viable and all the pirating ships will need to be switched to gunboats.
No longer active online due to a dwindling amount of non-PvP (trading, pirating, mining, etc.) fun in the new version.
' Wrote:Maybe it's because their almost exclusively VHF-based roleplay (they really have to be commended for that, as a Corsair I greatly enjoy fighting with them knowing they aren't going to BCspam us) is now being ruined by the frequent Kusari fleet spawns inside Bretonian space?
That makes around 0 sense. Kusarians never travel through Orkney, and this has nothing to do with ship preferences.
I view it as a desperate attempt from a falling house to keep some reigns and an illusion of control in a system they can't access, let alone defend.
