Doesn't this violate the territorial neutrality of Omega3?

I had always thought Aland was supposed to be a No-Man's-Land sort of buffer zone in terms of authority.

>sigh< Yes, I am aware...

While there was a conflict in progress, that had the fig leaf of the conflict to justify it. If Bretonia doesn't give it back now that the conflict is resolved, doesn't that violate the previous agreement regarding Omega3 between B and R?

The previous agreement between Rheinland and Bretonia, which is still in effect, was the one where Rheinland acknowledged Omega-3 was Bretonian and Bretonia that Omega-7 was part of Rheinland. It is called the Omega Treaty, and you can find it in the Bretonian Treaty Database (and probably Rheinland's equivalent database, too, if they have one, but I don't have the link). It was made in 818, so it's been in effect for quite a while.

Thank you for clarifying that. It would seem that the individual that originally informed me was mistaken in their understanding.

Raises the question. Is Magellan and Cortez shared between Bretonia and Liberty and therefore these two systems are owned and not neutral?

Quoting from House Roleplay Laws:
Quote:The house of Liberty means the systems of New York, California, Colorado, Texas, Virginia, Ontario, Alberta, Pennsylvania, Kansas and any immediately connecting independent systems, such as but not limited to Magellan and Hudson. Note, this is not a territorial claim to the referenced independent systems, which are widely recognized as neutral space.

Answer: If I interpret it right. Magellan is neutral, but since it's bordering Liberty, laws are still enforced by Liberty in Magellan.
Similar situation supposed to be in Bretonia, but they updated themselves too long time ago. They are supposed to consider Magellan as neutral too, while having law enforcement too.

Treaty of Curacau SNIP Wrote:Article I - Governance

Clause 1: The Systems of Magellan and Cortez are to have the offical status of Joint Protectorates of the Republic of Liberty and the Realm of Bretonia conferred upon them.

Clause 2: The President of Liberty and the Monarch of Bretonia shall jointly receive the official titles of "Protector of the Independent Worlds of Magellan and Cortez".

Bretonia and Liberty share the systems ownership, they are not neutral.

Omega 3 and 7 are not neutral and are owned by each house as determined by treaty.

Tau is complicated, but generally Tau-31 was Bretonia, Tau-29 was Kusari. Gallia probably will say Tau-23 is theirs. Though the war messed stuff up quite a bit, particularly in regards to Tau-31 and Crayter.

Tau-53 border for Kusari and Gallia is not covered by a treaty, though it is historically been a Kusari owned system. Likely that this will be an area for conflict, Gallia having beaten Kusari heavily in their conflict means they enforced unfavorable terms on Kusari regarding their border.

Zurich is seemingly Gallic controlled, and Cologne feels a bit like a Rheinland border system. A treaty between Gallia and Rheinland would likely be needed to settle the issue, or again, like Kusari it could become a conflict. Player RP for treaties have not kept up with development.

Sigma-13 is however neutral by virtue of being owned/controlled by the GMG, which is not a house but a neutral entity.

The Liberty border systems with Rheinland and Kusari are to my knowledge not covered by any treaty, and are mostly worthless. You could call them true independent systems, as the question was never answered by a bi-house treaty.
