Ok, Following from my other post which nobody has helped me with, I have succumbed to attempt to try out the 4.85 Beta server... But it needs a password to login to it!

Ok, one thing I don't get is why everyone is saying that it's a publin open beta when there's a password required... Do players need be active on the 4.84 server for s certain amount of time before beta release to test it?

I've had a bit of a play on Rebel Universe but it was boring as hell because nobody else was online...

Ok, So (a) can anyone help me with this issue? And (b) can someone please help me with my other problem in my other post?

Thanks in advance

Zyrez

You are connecting to the wrong server it seems. Make sure it is Discovery Freelancer 24/7 RP

Edit: what is your other problem?

You are looking at the developers beta test server, not at Discovery 24/7's main server ...

The official Beta is operating on the Discovery Freelancer RP 24/7 server.

Ok, then why does the Discovery RP 24/7 server not show up on my server list?

Ok, if maybe someone could post the IP which is used in the direct link shortcuts, I could attempt to connect from there... If the server(s) still don't show up, then this is an issue I've never come across before...

Edit your shortcut, and make sure it has -s82.113.48.5:2032

most likely on yours, you just have to change the 6 to a 5

My other problem is that no Discovery RP 24/7 servers show up on the server list... I don't see why, because I've tried almost everything to sort it out...

Add this in your target box in the FL Icon's properties.

-s82.113.48.5:2302

It must be one space after the path.

Example:

C:\Blah\Blah\Freelancer\EXE -s82.113.48.5:2302

<span style="font-familyTonguealatino Linotype">
<span style="color:#000000">All morons hate it when you call them a moron.
</span></span>
<span style="color:#33FFFF">The CFF</span>
<span style="color:#33FF33">CFF Communication Channel and RP Collection</span>

I've edited the shortcut, had the space between the directory and the IP, made sure the directory and the IP were correct and exactly how it should be, but nothing! No servers being displayed whatsoever...

I've got all my anti-virus programs uninstalled (so I hope to hell that nobody tries hacking me), so that's not the issue...

I've also made sure that I'm working with IPv4 and not IPv6...

What else could it be?

I'm using Vista Home Premium... is that the problem?
