First question. Is it within RP to have a junker that is neutral or even friendly with the police. Im still not sure what the deal is with them.
I Want a junker char that is getting into racing and collects junk to build his racing ships. He would be entirely lawfull in my mind as I dont think just collecting junk would make someone a criminal.
I just want to make sure this is not going outside of the boundries of the ID.
Second question. Smuggler.
He flys the Correo (finnaly a great looking Freighter.Well done to its designer.)
Now my plan is to run with a house corporation iff to suit the area i will be selling smuggled goods. Using a smuggler ID of course. The idea being the use of stolen transponders as cover to gain access to systems and planets.
Now he can only land on planets with a docking ring and a select few lawfull based that look the other way in reguards to the ship being flown.
My reasoning behind this is this.
1. He relies on docking ring personell to be half asleep and only looking at the IFF. Once he is past them there is usually no problems.
2. The conflicting Ship And IFF mean I absolutely must evade authorities. The IFF allows me to go unnoticed if out of visual /scanning range. However if a Navy/Police player gets close enough they will see the conflicting Ship and IFF and WILL stop me.
This setup is designed to get me caught if Im not on my toes. And because Im only using a freighter and will not make much profit per run, success becomes very important. This Character Will stop if asked to do so by the proper authorities and after some RP, depending on the proposed punishment and size of opposing force, will try to escape/try to fight /or accept incarseration or other punishment.
1) Junkers can not be neutral with lawfuls, the best the can be is unfriendly (note, not hostile) simply because so many junkers are involved in unlawful activities. If you wanted to do a bunch of favors for the law then maybe, but if you did that I doubt other junkers would like you much and you may be exiled, so there is a tiny sliver of possibility that i dont really think is large enough to fit in.
2) This sounds pretty good, I like it actually, what does everyone else think?
Hmmm not being hostile to lawfuls might be enough to make it work. Would mean id have to tread lightly to avoid trouble. Might even add to my RP. Thanks.
On number one, it would be a problem if you were friendly or so down to neutral, however, a lot of the relations with junkers vary. However, it would be perfectly fine to be neutral with the LPI and unfriendly with the other police groups, plus, the junkers wouldn't exile you, as it gives them good publicity.
