I was born on Planet Harris in Tau-31 in 792 A.S. the child of scientists employed by Planetform Inc. as part of the terraforming operation there. I spent all of my childhood and teenage years there. As an adult I served in the Bretonia Armed Forces as an Ensign from 810-814 A.S. After leaving the Bretonia Armed Forces I attended Cambridge University's School of Engineering on Planet Cambridge from 814-818 A.S. and received my degree in Network Communications Engineering.
During this time I was aware of the ongoing conflict between Kusari forces and Bretonia, which resulted in the isolation of my parents on the surface of Planet Harris. After the war ended I procured transport back to Planet Harris and started employment with Planetform supporting their communications networks between their various stations on the planet and the Tau-31 communications network. During the invasion of 820 A.S. by the Gallic forces the planet was further isolated again, which led to my parents and I making preparations to leave the planet. When the Gallic forces seized control of Planet Harris in 823 A.S. my parents and I fled to Holman Outpost to plan our next destination and notify Planetform of the planet's seizure.
Planetform informed us that our services were no longer needed as the terraforming of the planet was now on hold due to the seizure of the planet. As I was no longer employed by Planetform I offered my skills and services to Holman Outpost to support any network communications requirements that they had and they provided a place to live on their station.
Unfortunately, the IMG surrendered to the Gallic forces without fighting. Due to the nature of the surrender to the Gallic forces by the IMG personnel the Gallic forces were generous in offering us (civilians) the choice between staying on the outpost and supporting them and the IMG personnel who stayed, with Gallic oversight of course; or being shipped back to Gallia to be reprocessed in to whatever service they wanted. We of course chose to stay on the outpost and support the outpost. In exchange for supporting the outpost, the Gallic forces permitted us to continue to have room and board provided by the outpost. We obviously weren't being paid for our services, but we also weren't slaves or prisoners on the station.
During my time on the outpost I got on fairly good terms with the Gallic personnel. My parents, bitter over being abandoned by Planetform, even offered to assist the EFL with restarting the terraforming of Planet Harris. My parents returned to the planet and assisted EFL's research teams with using the existing Planetform equipment to continue the terraforming. I didn't and still don't agree with my parents on their decision, as I think it's not appropriate to hijack Planetform's tech on behalf of a hostile entity and I do feel some loyalty towards Planetform for the employment they provided me, but I do still love and respect my parents decision. After the Crayter Republic seized the planet back from Gallia after the end of the war, my parents chose to remain on the planet and retired there as Bretonian citizens.
In exchange for the services rendered to the Holman Outpost under both the IMG and Gallic management, I was permitted the purchase (from personal savings) of a ship. The ship was a used Aurochs that had been used by the Gallic EFL forces for ferrying supplies and personnel between Holman Outpost and Planet Harris until it had broken down, at which point it was replaced by a larger and more capable Taureau. As I knew that the ship had been produced and used for this sole purpose and was aware of all it's maintenance and use history I had no reservations about purchasing it. While the ship was a bit run down and worn out from it's previous owners, with a little bit of maintenance and upgrades I was able to get it back to flight worthiness. After the purchase of the ship I was permitted to leave on the understanding that I would not return to the Tau-31 or engage in activities hostile to the Kingdom of Gallia.
After leaving Holman Outpost I headed back to Planet Cambridge where I had spent my college years, as I had grown to love the planet, and settled down there. I currently am based from there and am working to accrue enough wealth to retire there.
