The Event Crew is a player-run pickup event team, bound by all the restrictions placed upon players by the rules.
Goals (all oorp, considering any event ships would be either hostile entities, inanimate asteroids, or missing ships):
Improve server activity via events
Promote player RP generated from events
Rules:
No trading & no raiding; this is an events faction and not a regular encounter faction.
Do not play favorites; you are there to make sure all involved have fun.
If you are a disabled trade ship or a hostile entity, you have given consent to be engaged by all IDs, for any IDs lacking engagement rights.
Do not play sanctionlancer.
Sample events:
Free Ore Hour in <system> (a particularly large asteroid was cracked open and the ore spills out)
Abandoned Space Station (An old abandoned outpost that fell out of the system's gravity well has drifted back but several hostile drones in the area defend it. Destroy the drones and the loot within is yours!)
Event Rules:
Events will have an at least 24 hour warning on forums beforehand, bumped 30 minutes before the event takes place. Hostile Drones: By entering the Event Zone, you the player consent to be engaged by Hostile Drones. This mutual consent supersedes server rules. Camera Ships are welcome to observe. Players killed during an engagement with a Hostile Drone are not pvp-dead, so long as they were not engaged in pvp with a non-Event Crew player at the time.
You and you alone are liable for any RP consequences arising from your participation in any event.
