Everything started out normally on my day, a few pirates, some smugglers here and there, nothing too special or worrying. I thought that with the whole Bering situation you'd expect there would be a lot more coming our way. What I didn't know is how soon I'd be proven wrong. The navy signaled for help, they were talking about numerous hostile capital ships right outside Houston. I quickly went aboard the Polstari and launched from Manhattan, on my way to Texas to see what is going on. Unfortunately, by the time I got there the fight was over. The hostile forces moved back to Bering after forcing the Navy ships in a full retreat, blowing up those left behind.
After that incident, I decided to patrol the sector and make sure no other pirates were present. That was when something completely unexpected happened. I saw the ship of a very old friend of mine, someone I'd go as far as to consider a brother to me; Captain Otonashi Yuzuru, floating in space uncommanded. The ship looked wrecked and there was obvious damage to it's hull. I immediately called it in, and a rescue team arrived in close to no time. After investigation aboard the ship, the rescue team discovered that the ship's blackbox along with all the crew, including the Captain, were missing. Seeing as there were no survivors, the ship was towed back to Norfolk Shipyard.
Otonashi wouldn't want his ship to stay docked there and rot. For the past 2 days I was overseeing the repairs and making sure everything flows smoothly. Being the only person who knows Otonashi that much I think its only right I continue his work by making sure the Elizabeth's career does not end here.
