A Carrier-class ship is defined as a Battleship. Therefore you need a license to fly one.

Not necessarily, Order Carrier is classified as a BC.

I think, however, that Zoner one is classified as battleship.

You determine the class of a ship based on it's weapons, and if it 'comes with' a battleship license when you purchase it.

The liberty and zoner carriers, as well as the IMG carrier, are all battleships - they have all class 10 turret hardpoints, class 10 shields, no thrusters, and come with a battleship license when purchased.

The Order Carrier is a battlecruiser, it has all class 9 turret hardpoints, a thruster, and does not come with a battleship license - though it does have a class 10 shield, as a balancing factor due to it's large size compared to other battlecruisers.

Nitpick: Repair ship has Transport weapons, but is classified as a Freighter.

A way a lone a last a loved a long the riverrun, past Eve and Adam's, from swerve of shore to bend of bay,
brings us by a commodius vicus of recirculation back to Howth Castle and Environs.

Are you talking about server-rules-wise, or ship-infocard-wise?

Technically every freighter, transport, and capital ship in the game is classified as a freighter =P

Yeah, We could fix that if we had the Source code, it would be nice to make our own shipclasses.

Yes Aquilon is a battleship.

And if you're going to use tradelanes - you don't want it.
If you wanna pew pew pew with it - you don't want it either.

However if you just want to talk with people from it without going boom ... well it's still not the best choice ...
