Before using Adobe Premiere, I used https://filmora.wondershare.com/video-editor/

It was good as far as I can remember. Free version has a watermark I believe but you can buy it for life at least.

I've been editing videos on my MacBook for a while now. I started just for fun, but now I'm making cash. I've tested several video editor apps, and Movavi has been the best for me. It's super user-friendly, which is great when you're just starting, but it has enough features to keep you happy as you get more experienced. There are more popular mac video editor options than this one, but it works well.

If you don't want to sign up on their website, you can download DaVinci Resolve also from other software websites. I downloaded it from chip.
