Lone_Star has been sanctioned owing to a report posted on the 23/03/2009 for:

Quote:6.2 Out of Roleplay (OORP):
In-game tag seen before the name must match the ID as closely as possible. It is not allowed to have the tag not match ID category. For example, it is prohibited to have 'Police' tag and 'Pirate' ID.

Equipment used must match tag and ID as closely as possible. For example, it is not allowed for Corsairs to use Outcast ships and guns.

Consequences: Stripped of your Outcast guns, fined 10 million credits.

Notes: Liberty Navy tag, IMG Spatial, Freelancer ID, so far so good. Outcast guns, bad. Subsequently docking on a Corsair base, worse. Silly boy. Use your common sense, please.

My in-game name is White_Star, Lone_Star is my father, we are playing from the same computer using the same account, if you want to get to him, use me as a relay.

Now that the introduction was made WHY WAS I ALSO SANCTIONED??? I just lost 9 millions for being innocent (and please note that at my level, that amount can be called "lifetime savings"), money that i've pretty much grown fond of, and would pretty much appreciate if they are returned.

I've also read the game rules carefully, the point about outcast weapons was duely noted, but what about the Liberty Navy tag? Actually what is a "tag"? it's that thing before the name that states your belonging to a faction, right? Well none of us didn't ever have a tag, the name is just Lone_Star/White_star, period!

And what about landing on Corsair base?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but my common sense, as you well put it, tells me that while i am a freelancer, that does not belong to any faction, I am free; free to land at any base that isn't red; free to get any ship i desire; free to engage in PvP any pirate or smuggler.

White_Star and Lone_star are on the same account and IP, so White_star got hit for the remaining balance of Lone_star's outstanding fine.

Your tag is the thing that's flashing at the bottom of your rep sheet. Not a made tag in your name. Lone_satr's tag is Navy, which is Liberty Navy, which precludes him from docking on any unlawful base.

I See

So say I want to go to Omicron Gamma, buy a corsair ID, corsair Gunboat (in a month or so cause i don't have the money now), how do I do that with the word NAVY printed on my forehead?

And this fine system is not fair at all, the least you could do is compensate for the side-effects.
