Discovery Diffuculty

I'm playing the SP. With Discovery, while I appreciate the AI difficulty increase...its become too hard for me to consider having fun (i suck at games...i like 'em easy:P) .... how can i reduce the difficulty of the discovery mod SP?

There is a variable you can adjust to change the scale of the difficulty:

This procedure involves editing a game file; create a backup copy ofthe file before proceeding. Use a text editor to edit the "perfoptions.ini"file in the game folder.

Change the "DIFFICULTY_SCALE = 1.00" line to "DIFFICULTY_SCALE = 0.xx" where xx represent the percentage of damage you take compared to normal.
