Dacia has officially formed in 827 A.S after approximately one century of expansion in the Northern side of Planet Crete, taking over multiple regions either via diplomatic means or by force in order to preserve itself. Dacia predominantly focuses on agriculture thanks to the relatively warm climate, wide hills, and investments in fertilization of soil. As such, the Dacian fields produce largely wheat, while farms produce mostly consumable raw materials such as meat and milk.
Even though Dacia was mostly peaceful, nowadays the fear of being targetted by nearby settlements has grown. As such, the Duras (King of Dacia) has begun a campaign to unite all nearby cretan settlements into one. Most have willingly united with Dacia one way or another, while others have denied to submit. Inevitably, those who opposed have also ended up merging with Dacia.
In recent months, Dacia has shifted it's attention towards a more militaristic approach - yet rather defensive than offensive. Because of this, the manufacturing of Dacian ship parts such as the "DPE-20" Engines and small shuttles for on-planet transit has begun, improving the Nation's economy drastically. Eventually, with enough funds gained from their industry and food distribution on Crete, the Duras has decided to finally allow the production of small Cretan fighters and gunboats.
As such, the Dacian Military is founded. Relatively small, the Dacian Military has used for many ears the advantage of its enviroment to emerge victorious in battle. In space, however, the Dacians faced a dilema. They never flown this far from the ground. As such, they were fairly ill-prepared. Nonetheless, this presented a small obstacle on the short run, as flight schools were shortly after established at Fort Glina and Fort Alba, resulting in the current generation to also be the first batch to ever fly Titans, Praetorians, Imperators, and other ships.
Another few months pass, revealing more and more eager pilots to man their new ships. Willing to defend their nation as a whole, Dacians will do anything in power to stay between their enemy and Planet Crete.
Dacia, its holdings and economy:
Dacia holds several cities, communes and villages, each with their own specialized departments which aid towards the Nation's expansion, such as: Oradea, Craiova, Arad and the Dacian Capital Bucharest. Nonetheless, in a matter of months, the Empire has also built numerous forts to guard the outer regions and maintain order without bothering the peaceful way of life of its inhabitants. Such forts are: Fort Alba, Fort Glina and Fort Brasus.
Oradea: A City with a population of 600,000. Its specialization resides in manufacturing the "ARO"-class shuttles whom represent a way for its inhabitants to travel from one point to another. While not compatible with flying off-planet or over long distances without refueling, the ARO shuttles are a cheap way of travel with high customization potential. The same city also specializes in salvaging metal to reduce costs of manufacturing combat-oriented ships.
Arad: Positioned over flat terrain and with a population of 900,000, Arad is a heavily industrialized city which focuses on producing consumer goods and is well known for its traditional cuisine. Unlike other cities, Arad is located in a region where plant life is completely devoid, let alone water. Because of this, the City is heavily reliant on imports.
Fortunately, Arad is "rich" in artifacts. Ancient ruins reside not too far from it, even though its resources are not compared to other excavation sites of Crete.
Craiova & Bucharest: While both different in name, they serve mostly the same purpose and composition - that being refinement of all materials received from other communes and cities. Craiova specializes in the agricultural tree of Dacia by receiving raw materials, then distributing them to processing factories. On the other hand, Bucharest single-handedly
manages the whole ship building industry with its staggering population of 3 Million - 30% of it being actively employed. Bucharest has multiple factories which focus on building and maintaining the mighty Cretan vessels which serve the Dacia's army and respectively fleet, while also building field vehicles and weaponry. Both cities are separated by a thin area of two kilometers and connected by roads. Otherwise, they could be considerated one and the same.
Communes: Communes represent slightly larger villages which govern any establishments around it. They are primarily focused on agriculture as their primary source of income.
Goals:
Expand Dacia's grasp within Sirius.
Establish deals with other organizations to ensure a steady flow of supplies, armaments and more.
Ensure Dacia's survival by defending the rightful territory of the Corsairs as a whole.
Aid other Corsairs by any means necessary.
Ensure frontier systems are well guarded from any hostile bodies.
Standing:
The Dacian Military has recently launched to the stars, and because of this, the outside world is a true wonder. While having the basic knowledge of how things tend to go in space, the Military has yet to develop relations with major parties around Sirius Sector and Gallia.
