TACTICAL SITUATION


Since now three months, Kusari is trying to destroy the Gallic Forces positioned around Nevers and bloody attempts of breaking the fronts on both sides have failed and resulted in a bloody yet not inactive stalemate. Their primary target is the fortress of Avallon, recently saved from the destruction at the cost of the venerable Epinal. Kusari's tactic of the Hammer and Anvil exhausted most of their available resources and the sacrifice of Epinal put an end to this strategy. The arrival of Hossegor reinforcements and especially Cassard allowed the Gallic Forces to turn offensively against the Kusari forces, taking the initiative at the same time. Having at their disposal a formidable wall of warships, the Gallic Forces are outnumbering the Kusarians forces to almost two to one. It is obvious that Kusari will suffer one of its most crushing defeat in the days to come.

DESIRED FINAL OUTCOME : Securing Avallon and pushing the Kusarians out of Burgundy. Saving the Duchy and preparing the battlefield for an imminent blitz of Lorraine.
PRIORITY 1 : Pushing the Kusarians out of Burgundy
PRIORITY 2 : Inflicting severe casualties to the remaining forces of the Kusari spearhead
PRIORITY 3 : Preparations for an imminent attack in Lorraine

LOCATION : Burgundy

PREDICTED ENEMY FORCES : Despite having exhausted most of their available assets, their aggressiveness didn't decrease. Excellent training among the crews, and very capable and experienced commanders. Threat level remains high.

REQUIRED ALLIED FORCES : Venissieux, Hossegor and Cassard with their respective cohorts. The surviving escorts of Epinal have joined Hossegor forces. As all the reserves are deployed to the front, no further reinforcements have to be expected.

TIME : Our resources are large enough for a long term offensive, but other fronts might need reinforcements soon. Time estimated: one to two weeks.

RULES OF ENGAGEMENT : The Etat-Major maintains the high-intensity, total war stance in accordance with Confederacy orders. Full spectrum conflict is authorised. The Duchy is on the verge of existence. Destruction of the Kusari forces in that sector will certainly make Kusari reconsider their strategic operations.
