Born August 5th 802 A.S. as one of the first Crayterian babies born in Sirius. Her childhood was full of happy memories. She had a well rounded education, she was ok in most classes but bad at French. The classes she loved was Mathematics, Informatics, Physics, Engineering, Hand-to-hand, Small Arms and above all else ships and Piloting them. In 817 A.S. when Gallia invaded she was 15 and her family was at Java Station as scouts; reporting on Gallic movements to the Colonial Republic.
Unfortunately the Gallic advance was too fast for her family to be evacuated. The I.M.G. tried to hide them, but they were found and arrested on charges of espionage. On the way to the Trial, Shereshoy was separated from her family to be "Processed". She thought it was a full medical examination (started out like one), but in truth it was the start of her nightmare.
She was drugged, put into stasis, and trafficked into Gallia. While in transit by I.D.F. Shipping they dropped off her pod in the middle of a trade lane to Gallic Brigand Slavers. When the ship was put on auto pilot three of the slavers said to each other, "lets sneak off and test out the new model." The 3 slaver got Shereshoy's pod down and started the wake up process in reverse, Shereshoy started to wake up inside the pod. She became full conscious when they put her on the bunk nearby, that's when she began to fight back by first breaking 1st slaver's nose (almost killing him) and knocking him unconscious. She then pulled that guy's sidearm, and into a standoff with the other 2, but just as quickly as the fight started it ended with an alarm in French. At that moment the 2 slavers immediately ran for the cockpit. Not knowing what was going she took some cloths put them on and found her way to the cockpit.
As she entered the cockpit, both of them were shouting at each other and the pilot, something about "Nox", but when a message chimed in they went silent and answered. What was said she barely understood but a few words. "Gallic" Royal Navy ships had "intercepted" their ship, when she heard the word intercepted she then pointed her gun, told the 3 slavers "hands up, guns on the floor" they immediately complied, she said "now step away from your guns, and get in the hold or else." Once in the hold she ran to the comms and said "hello my name Shereshoy Bal Aliit from the Coloanal Republic, I've got 3 sorry 4 slavers locked up in the hold and have taken control of the ship."
The Navy pilots thinking this was some stupid drug fueled plot to let them go free the squad leader responded with a sarcastic tone in English "ok, can you pilot this craft?" She said with a smug "yes of course, I've been flying ships since I was 5 years old..., but I wasn't allowed to fly alone until last year and only with a wingman." The squad leader not knowing what to make of this responded with "okay lock in formation with me and we'll get everything sorted out." As they traveled thru Gallic space, Shereshoy is just awed by all she's seeing (unware of the danger she was in). As soon as they passed this one big station the squad leader said "that's Abbeville Production Facility we are almost there we just need to take this lane."
When he was done talking she came to her senses (not realizing the drug was to make her compliant), but there was no time to think about that, 3 of the slavers broke into the cockpit. She picks up her gun shoots the 1st slaver (killing him this time). The two others try to shoot her without hitting the cockpit window but miss. Realizing her advantage she stand high on the chair and shoots one in the head, as this happens the last slaver ducks behind a table. Her basic combat training now kicking in she flanks him by sliding on the bloody floor taking him off-guard, as he rises to shoot over the table she says "surprise", and shoots him dead. She then picks her self up off the floor and comes to the realization with horror and pride, 'these three men are my first real kills.'
As Shereshoy is trying to come to terms with what just happened, she notices the pilot is missing and looks down the now open corridor seeing him completely out of it (high a.f.). Remembering what was happening, she rushed to the pilot seat seeing it was too late to run, as the ship began to dock.
Calais Research Facility
Shereshoy trying to come up with a plan; 'should I try and run? No I saw the fortress nearby I'd be space dust in this freighter', 'fight my way to a faster ship, no they out number me, I think'. As the comms chime she was hesitant but answered "hello", the response was in French. She replied "I don't speak French", then someone said in English "open the cargo door". She replied "yes right away, um where are cargo door controls?" Then a frustrated voice said "stop stalling and open the door or we'll slice it open with a laser." She complies and opens the door. As she's trying to come up with a plan she hears the pilot said "Hello" something interrupted by small arms fire, and then foot steps and voices coming towards her. At this point she's panicking, trying find a place to hide, but now the sound is coming up the stairs, she then turns the pilot seat around, curled up, and tried to makes herself as small as she can. She does an ammo check, gun's ammo count is zero, and she thought 'I only fired seven rounds cheap ass slavers'. The foot steps are now in the room, she hears them report the three bodies.
The marines started moving toward her, she started crying silently, and right when the marines were about to find her, their comms chimed, the leader stopped and answered. He listened, then stepped back and talked into the comms. They waited a few minutes, and she realized when someone started speaking English, the marines were waiting for them. This person said "young lady please come out with your hands up, we do not want to hurt you." Shereshoy had no other choice she put her hands up and stepped out. Seeing the heavily armed marines she started to shiver with fear, they put her in hand cuffs and was taken to a holding cell. As they walked she observed comings and goings of people in labs, and realized this is research facility for god knows what.
Shereshoy sat in her cell for hours waiting, every now again she'd yell "hey any updates". After the 9th time Shereshoy stopped because of a clear threat of violence from a guard. Finally a female officer came and questioned her, asking her name, age, where she's from, and rank.
Shereshoy told the officer "My name is Shereshoy Bal Aliit, I'm 15 years old, I'm from the Colonial Republic, and I don't have a rank." What Shereshoy said made this officer have a worried look on her face. The officer said "Shereshoy how did you get here?" Shereshoy responded with "I don't know, I was arrested on Java Station, I was being given some medical examination, they gave me a shot, asked me to say some words I don't understand, and get in a pod." Shereshoy paused and said "they asked me to get in the pod and I didn't fight them." The officer asked "what happened nex..." but was interrupted by higher ranking officer, he didn't even let her stand up before he started berating her and pointing at Shereshoy.
She stood there until he was done and responded with a rant of her own that scared the other officer, even when he tried to interrupt she wouldn't let him. When the lower officer was done he saluted her, said "yes", and left. The lower officer then sat down and said "I'm sorry about that, but I now know how you got here, and where you should be, but you're lucky that's not where you are right now." With a pause to light a cigarette the officer continued "now unfortunately this is a classified facility, and you can't leave, so we're keeping you here until such time, as you are deemed no longer a threat to the security of this facility." Shereshoy tried to get a word in but the officer left as screamed "you can't do this" as well as crying while pleading "wait I won't tell anyone, I don't even know how to speak French, please don't do this."
Shereshoy lost track of how much time had past by, days, weeks, months, maybe a year. During this part of her time was taken up with sleeping, exercising, and eating. She was kept away from the main crew other than her guards. She would sing and try to talk to anybody who'd listen. She tried to learn French but that was limited. She got more and more mentally unstable because of the almost full isolation. This all came to a head when for some reason she thought the guards were now her friends and started to prank them. When they found out it was her the guards tried to give her a beating (the key word is tried). When they came to her cell with determination saying "we are going beat you so bad." It took no time at all for Shereshoy to beat the ever living daylights out of the 2 guards, the camera operator didn't see they needed back up until it was too late.
When this incident was brought to a higher authority they asked her questions about her education and training. Since Shereshoy's degrading mental state due to so little human interaction she answered all their questions as best she could, not able to hold back. Realizing she was good with computers and ships they offered Shereshoy a position in Calais Research Facility (lying about paying her). They lied to her saying since she told them all she knew, she'll be branded a traitor by her people. Shereshoy not wanting to go insane from isolation and believing them, accepted the job offer.
Shereshoy was still not allowed to leave the station, but for the rest of her time at the facility, it was somewhat pleasant (apart from the one time she told her story to someone and she never saw them again). Shereshoy learned French, studied Gallic technologies right beside some of the top Gallic scientists and engineers. She was sheltered from most of the outside galaxy until the Office of Confederal Intelligence took control of the Calais Research Facility. Everyone else was informed of what had happened, but it wasn't until the O.C.I. went thru the records they found Shereshoy's file. It didn't take long for them to investigate the truth, the O.C.I. officer incharge informed Shereshoy of the truth.
This is a transcript of a recording of the exchange between O.C.I. officer [name redacted] and Shereshoy Bal Aliit.
O.C.I. officer "I know this will be hard to take in but it's been 10 years since you were taken. The Gallic Brigands that you killed were supposed to deliver you to a facility called Evreux Research Facility the location is unknown. The brigand pilot was high on Nox and made the wrong calculations. When the Gallic Royal Navy intercepted them the brigand pilot's first slurred response was, "I've got a deliver cargo to a... um... um a... research facility yeah" and that's why they brought you here. When the ship's ID hit the Gallic Royal Intelligence info sphere, an officer from the other facility came to take you back. However one of the officers here stopped him by reminding him that slaves are illegal and conspiring with unlawful entities is treason, and used this information to blackmail him. We don't know who any of them are, all docking logs and names have been erased from the records."
Shereshoy "Ok what does all that mean for me?" O.C.I. officer "It means you are not a citizen of Gallia, and you need to make an enslavement claim to the joint courts of the Confederacy of Gallia, the Crayter Republic, and the Kingdom of Bretonia." Shereshoy "Wait so I was a slave, so the agreement I had with them was...was" O.C.I. officer "false yes." Shereshoy "What about the 10 years of research and design work, can I have all of my work back?" O.C.I. officer "No that's not up to me to decide, I'm only informing you of what has and is happening and why, also were you will be staying." Shereshoy "Staying were here?" O.C.I. officer "No you are being deported back to the Crayter Republic." Shereshoy "NO NOT THERE." O.C.I. officer "Why?" Shereshoy "I helped the enemy, they think I'm a traitor." O.C.I. officer "May be they'll understand. I have your boarding pass, transcripts of our investigation, and some of my money to get your self on your feet. I Shereshoy Bal Aliit am keeping a diary of my adventures and exploit's in this hostile galaxy: Date 11/29/743 A.G.S (827 A.S.), Time 10pm I think. When they released me on New Paris I was over whelmed by the open sky I fell over, when I got up I almost ran to my ship. When I was inside I felt better, I immediately left New Paris for Java Station the last place I was before I was enslaved. However nobody told me, to get out of Gallia, I was going to have to fly thru A WARZONE, A WARZONE. Why wouldn't they deport me to a safe place, no of course not, and they couldn't even give me a good ship. Additionally nobody told me this kind of key info about where I'm going to have to go thru.
When I did exit Gallia I went to Java Station to try and explore my options.
1: Take a contract from I.M.G., but I'm a little rusty not flying for 10 years, so not yet.
2: Buy a commodity and go sell it somewhere else for more money, this one I chose to do for about 4 cargo runs.
The second cargo run I found out that Orkney was in the hands of the Gallic Enclave. I almost did a suicide attack on a way more powerful group out of anger, but decided I didn't want to die. The other 2 cargo runs were uneventful. After the 4th run I tried to do a contract for I.M.G. to kill some Outcast ships. The 1st waypoint went fine, but when I turned to go for the next one, a wing of outcast fighters took me by surprise, and I had to jettison. Thank god they didn't notice my pod and when I.M.G. took me back to Java Station, I spent the night and then waited for my next insured ship to arrive.
12/04/743 A.G.S (827 A.S.) time 7pm it took a long time for my new ship to arrive. When it did arrive I started doing some more cargo runs in Kusari space then headed to Liberty to shop for a new ship found one, a Civilian Freighter and started exploring the trade lanes of the galaxy first Bretonia then the Omega's and now i've stopped off in Rheinland.
12/07/743 A.G.S (827 A.S.) time 7pm I've done more exploration first with Rhineland then the Sigma's and while exploring I found a derelict ship with 20 alien artifacts. I then looked up where I could sell them (knowing they are contraband) Liberty's Planet Manhattan, in the New York system for a lot. So I went there as fast as possible thru the tradelines. After I sold my cargo I headed off to explore Liberty space and finally I've ended up back in Rhineland stopping off at Planet Hamburg.
I forgot to make diary entries for like the past days or so and I don't remember all I did in those 10 days but here is some highlights.
I was doing some jobs for Junkers getting rid of the pest problem know as Xenos and after that I was exploring the Pennsylvania system, I found the Kansas jump hole. I then went down a rabbit hole of exploration 1st leading to the Vespucci system and it turns out the Xenos do have an ally and the Liberty Insurgency was pissed. So mad at my destruction of their Xeno ally that they not only attacked me, they for a lack of a better term swarmed me from every direction chasing me thru the system. I tried hiding in the cloud nearby but, they had fighters, gunboats, and even a cruiser sweeping the cloud after me, I ran for the Kansas jump hole but they cut me off so I escaped into Inverness jump hole. I found a jump hole that went to Coronado system but then I remembered I had a small delivery to Allentown Base that I'm late for, and I could go the long way and lose money or go the way I came and not gain money. I chose the short route but this time I snuck thru, but in Kansas I had to avoid their patrols by going around the right side of the system and made the delivery.
I went back to Kansas because I saw this Alien Gate thing and curiosity got the best of me I went thru the gate I ended up in an unnamed system. I tried going back thru but It's one way, so at that point I headed to the planet in the distance. While flying on the right was an Alien structure and it wasn't locking on to me so it wasn't hostile I headed toward it and then realized I could dock so I did. In the structure was all different kinds of people in this place that would normally be hostile, but my paranoia of the nomad infestation kick in. Worried about my safety I left toward the planet I was going to before and found the exit I entered the Thuringia system.
I went toward the nearest structure I could see, but heading toward it I got into a fight with an infected Wild but before a shot could be fired his ship blew up and just as it did I hit something invisible and it almost destroyed my ship, lucky I turned around just in time, I then avoided that area. Exploring the rest of Thuringia went good until Hohenfeld, when I saw some planet on sensors I went toward it not knowing I was running into Unstrut-Minesektor A MINE FIELD, so second time I was almost destroyed in one system. I followed the buoy's to the other planets and stations. When exploring near the area where I first almost die I noticed buoys going to an area with nothing around it but little green waves and station at the end. I followed the buoys to the abandoned station that had a message that my computer translated to say "get out of this area immediately the entrance could collapse at anytime" something like that. I out of there like a bat out of hell hugging those buoys.
I then made my way to the Virginia system to sell some stuff I salvaged from some wrecks. When I was finished selling that stuff I had lust for more exploration so I explored Virginia and found an Omicron Nu jump hole and then I started my exploration of the Omicron systems. In Omicron Minor I searched every wreck their for any valuables and found only one had anything. I found many amazing things including an Artificial Intelligence that wasn't hostile but was not happy I was friendly with The Core. This exploration was cut short when I jumped into Omicron Psi and I found that this system was infested with Nomads I tried to fight, but I was out gunned so I tried to escape however the jump hole had not reset and my ship was destroyed.
Now you maybe asking how are you telling this, well call it luck or destiny or divine intervention but when my ship was blown up, my auto eject pod was thrown into the jump hole. The problem with flying thru a jump hole that hasn't reset and with no jump drive is you can be shoot out anywhere in any direction. I jump in the middle of nowhere and that's where I'm writing this diary entry with my distress beacon activated all I can do is wait and hope someone comes to save me.
I'M SAVED hahaha I'm saved. Zoners found me, lucky me they were scanning the area I was in. I've been posted up at one of their stations for almost a day and the insurance on my ship was cleared and they have my replacement ship their in matter of hours. Compared to the IMG that took days to clear my insurance. Maybe should move out here permanently and become a Zoner. Maybe maybe not, but I'm going to pay them back for saving me and I think I have the perfect thing.
