OVERVIEW

---

With the recent calming of major house conflicts, a group of perhaps less-than-reputable gamblers and ne'er-do-wells following Orbital Spa & Cruise's racing circuit have decided, following a drunken visit to several bars, to sponsor their own sector-wide race under a front bakery named "Bare Buns." In a spark of true genius, they intend to provide ships to participants under the guise of "uniform competition" while rigging the event to take advantage of under-the-table bookmaking operations. Through a series of unscrupulous connections, they have managed to place advertisements in many of the major Houses' news outlets to drum up interest; all they need now are some eager bodies.

Rule changes:

• All racers may register with an existing character from any faction or create a new character for the event.
  
• Racers may choose from the Arrow, Scimitar, Griffin, or Hayabusa.
  
• Each ship will be outfitted, named, and transferred to participants prior to the race. They cannot be altered and will be deleted after completion.
  
• Each racer must travel to New Berlin, New Tokyo, Ile-de-France, New London, and back to the starting point in front of Manhattan in that order while taking a screen in front of each capital planet. The route to each checkpoint is up to the racer.
  
• Racers may not group together in-game but may group with another player in a camera ship who can form on the racer for recording purposes.
  
• Each ship will carry a limited number of CDs/CMs, and racers may restock to that limited number in Kusari.

• In-Roleplay Racing or Character Background: One of the victors of the Fastlancer Zero contest in Dublin, Danial "Dan" Fuego enjoyed the sport in the danger-filled gate lanes of the Hood Race Track. While he didn't win the contest outright, he commanded a 3-0 record that was only matched by one other racer. Wanting to expand from Dublin, he figured this was the chance to make the big bucks and have a damn good time doing it.

• In-Roleplay Racing or Character Background: As the only son of Admiral (Ret.) Jack Daggert, Diplomat of Liberty, he has everything he can dream of. With his 22 years he is young, hot headed and has no sense for bounderies. One can describe him as a typical rich kid, a spoiled brat, who is full of himself and has no regards for the feelings of other people. He steps on toes, annoyes everybody he meets and is thus shunned by others. His father has to smooth over his son's doings more often in recent times, and thus Vincent is grounded every couple of weeks. he still loves him, but has no time for harder consequences. He shouts at him to get back, revokes his flying license, but hands it back, when he behaves for two weeks. So Vincent can manipulate him easily, which he readily does. Since he does not need to work at all, living of his fathers wealth, he enjoys himself by flying, being a jerk and getting on everybodys nerves. Naturally such a sector-wide racing event caught his interest. Without any second thought, he signed up for it.

However some bets placed on him have not paid of for others and he wants to regain his skill and courage for racing again. After a dangerous incident, that nearly cost him his life he is willing to show what he is capable of and for that he will compete in other races to prove his worth and prove those who doubted him wrong.
