Alrighty, I have a question here...

We all know that there is plenty of history in the Sirius sector, even without the addition of the Discovery stories. Many references are made to past events; events that have shaped the universe in which we play. Some have caused new factions to arise, some have reshaped the stars themselves; but what do we know of these occurances? Well, I, for one, know next to nothing. I have searched all around for explainations of events like the "Texas Incident" and the "Founder's Day Revolt", and I can find nothing that gives a good in-depth description of what actually happened.

So my question is this: Is there any way to find the true history of the Sirius system, whether it be in-game or out-of-game, or are such stories meant to be left up to our imagination?

Most of the stories in FL are told via rumors, though to be honest all I know about the texas incident is from rumours and wreck hunting.

And thats just some sort of test using a jump-gate went wrong and caused all the debris and radiation fields in texas.

The only way to really find out about the founders day revolt is to land on the molly base in dublin and read the rumours.

I'm not sure if anyone has tried (or finished) compiling all the rumours and news items into a story or full background.

I, too, have heard the rumors about each occurance, but they still don't give much of an explaination. I'm just trying to see if there is a way to acquire an in-depth understanding of these events.

The Founder's Day Revolt is the day the workers at the gold mining station (forgot the name) in Dublin revolted and made the Mollys. They then claimed all the gold of Dublin as property of the Mollys, and have worked to fight the BAF and BP out of the system. Thats all I know.

There is also the 80 years war between RHeinland and the GMG, tho i dont see how the GMG could acctually fight a war, let aong keep fighting for 80 years.

Umm... Keep in mind they have Zoner EAGLES.. I think those could do some pretty big damage to Rheinland fleets. Sunblast Bs on Valkyries with Stealthblade MkIIIs. and the battleships, cruisers, and gunboats. Keep in mind, Rheinland also wanted to have a cost-effective war. If they were going to lose more than gain by eventually beating the GMG in Sogma-13, they might as well not have done so. Losing about 7 battleships and their escorts, along with the fighters, vastly costs more than gaining Sigma-13 would.

Yea you have a point, but still the GMG are miners not millitary forces.

O.o Have you seen the amount of fighters they use? Heck, they are attacking Omicron Beta. I'd say they are a military organization funded by mining. Military first, miners second.

Just a small note ... The GMG are funded by Kishiro, not an insignificant faction in Kusari
history, and one who was happy to try to take down the RM, in a sneaky way.
Anyone who has bothered to play the SP campaign in any form, will be lot more aware
of the background stories within the history of all the incidents.
Its a good way to have the excuse to go and read all the rumours, and try to land on as
many bases as possible, without the need to be roleplaying all the time, or thinking this is
just another PvP server, with no background.
