Brigitte opened her computer and noticed that she got a message from one of the leaders of the Maquis.
Well, this is interesting, she was invited to fly to their main base and wait for further instructions.
"Hmm, Burgundy system, where will that be!?", she mumbled.
"Let’s see if I can find it."

Of course it wasn't a surprise that she couldn't find it on her nav. map, even the keywords which she used for searching didn't help her at all.
She had to know better because the only system which she has sometimes visited was Languedoc.
"What to do now, shall I ask my friends about it? I know, some of them know Gallia better then I do. But I am afraid that they won't speak with me anymore after I have told them my plans."
May be the best thing to do is just leave and never return. Don't even leave a letter behind.
On the docks she saw one of her friends, she waved, and exchanged a few words with him, "I am sorry, I have to go, see you next time."

And there she went. Nav. map on-line, engines running, heading to the first jump gate...
She noticed on her way to Gallia that the environment became more anxious, wrecks of warships, broken trade lanes, more check points with uneasy and nervous pilots.
The best thing to do was to search for a neutral base and land there. By the way, some food and drink would be nice to get.
At last, Languedoc system popped up on her nav. map.
Because Brigitte didn't wanted to be checked again she decided to ignore the trade lanes. After some time her nav. map showed an unknown base on the screen. Brigitte headed to the place, beware of it that it could be an enemy base. But no, it was a neutral one! Here, nobody would questioning her. Better be so, therefor she had more time to observe the bar for people who could give her information on how to fly to the Burgundy system or even better to bring her in contact with the Maquis.
Sitting in the bar the bartender brought her the food and something to drink. Brigitte lifted her eye, smiled to the barkeeper and asked: "I am sorry, but did I ordered this kind of a drink?"
The bartender denied her question but told her it was a drink from the house, the house of the Maquis. "I am sure you don't need the bib but it can be come in handy" he said and turned away.
The food wasn't so good and the drink tasted of the cork. "Welcome to Gallia", Brigitte mumbled.
Back in her cabin she opened the bib which the bartender gave her. Her eyes spread wide open when she noticed that there was a copy of the updated map of the Languedoc system and above all the map of Burgundy too!
"Will I then still succeed?", she wandered.
And again, engines where running, nav. map on, and go. "Burgundy, here I come!"

After some time she jumped to the Burgundy system and flew as fast as she could to the point of rendez vous.
Flying around in the thick mist where scanners didn't work optimal she noticed a lot of Maquis traffic, scouts in light fighters.
"This must be the place, wait, what is that, a base, here?", Brigitte checked the copy again but no base was mentioned here.
Now she had still the possibility to go back from where she came from.
She had to think fast, the docking master from the base was already haling her. Brigitte was experienced enough to know that the flaks of the base where already pointed to her.
And there she went, followed the orders the docking master gave her.
There she was, docked on an unknown base with unknown people with an unknown future.

Before Brigitte left the cabin she mumbled to herself; "Let it be the right decision."
