Jade White had finally arrived at Boulogne Base. She headed there because she was been waited by someone, Roberto Garrison known as Le Cambrioleur. Her ship was near the station now. Jade activated the docking sequence and docked at the station. When the engines went off, Jade White went outside of her ship. She stopped before a sign that showed where the places were. After some seconds of studying the sign, Jade White took the direction of the bar.
At the bar, there were some men and women looking at Jade like if she was the stranger, but in fact she was a stranger. She sat at a table far from everyone and looked at the menu.
Drinks:
Gallic Beer
Wine
Rhum
Water
Nothing were at her taste, but she keeping to look at the menu just to be invisible, but her beauty betrayed her.
The door opens and ten people, led by Roberto, enter the bar. "We got a lot today, guys. Drinks at my expense!" he said to his team. Everyone is seating at empty tables, and Roberto sits at the bar. "As usual for you?" the bartender asks. "Listen, I have to meet one girl, she's not ours. Have you seen her?" "Yes, the last table. She has been sitting there for a long time and looks at the menu. It is immediately obvious that she is not local."
Roberto turns around and examines her. "A beautiful girl and so shy."
He turns back, drinks his shot, and walks out from behind the counter. Moving rapidly, he sits down next to her and asks the bartender: "Two of your brand!" "Hi, you got here quickly."
The bartender walks over to the table and sets two glasses of Gallia's finest drink. "Try this, the usual menu is not interesting."
Jade noticed the guy next to her. She puted down the menu and smiled at him. Oh! Thank you... You are?
Jade White looked at him for some seconds and she thought: ''He looks good... Nothing like my father.''
She grabbed the glasse destined to her, took a sip and made a face that meant she liked the taste of this drink.
Roberto looks away and takes his glass. After a few sips, he puts it back and asks: "You are Jade. The one from Liberty." He pauses awkwardly and says: "I am Roberto Garrison. The one who saved you."
The young guy found himself in an awkward situation. Thinking to herself: "It will look stupid if it is not her." He turns to her and asks: "I really hope that I was not mistaken."
In his thoughts, he comes up with an ingenious plan for how to get out of this situation. There were two ways. Plan A: If this is her, continue to communicate. Plan B: If it's not her, pretend you made a mistake and get to know her. He caught her eye and waited for an answer.
Jade was in the same situation of Roberto Garrison. So she answered him. Yes. I am Jade from the Liberty as you say. Thank you again back there and nice to meet ya Roberto.
She gave her right hand to hold Roberto's hand.
He saw Jade reach out in his direction. Roberto very rarely spoke with the girls and was a little excited. He took Jade's hand and said, "Nice to meet you too, Jade." After these words, he let go of her hand and took his glass. After taking a couple of sips, he decided to ask: "Tell me about yourself, such a beautiful girl and is engaged in a robbery of ordinary civilians. How did you enter this road?"
Roberto put down his glass, leaned against the back of the chair, and waited for an answer from his interlocutor.
Jade took some sips before to talk more about herself. Well... My story is not the famous one. All began when I was 15 years old, ten years ago. Roberto took his glass and took a sip. "Wow, my throat is dry. After graduation, rose to the rank of captain and was one of the best officers in the fleet. Once there was a battle in which we lost. I drifted in space for a long time until these guys picked me up."
He points at his command with his hand. "I have never seen such care. They bandaged my wounds, fed me, and gave me shelter. In the end, I ended up here."
He put the glass down on the table. "These guys have become my new family and I do not regret my decision to help them. My experience came in handy, there are few people here who know how to command a ship like a gunboat."
Roberto got up from the table and put his hand on Jade's shoulder. "I'll order food, I'm terribly hungry. Will you have anything?"
He turned his gaze to her eyes and waited for an answer.
Jade had more alcohol tolerence than Roberto, but not for long. If she continued to drink that glass and finished it, she will be drunk. Wow... Well at least you are alive and yeah I think I will take something to eat. What you'll order it's my order. I am sure you will take something good and I am sure I will like it. By the way, did you already think how it would be to be outside Gallic space?
She took an other sip of the glass ans smiled at the guy. The glass was almost empty it was about four sips left.
"Okay, I'll be right back and answer your question." Roberto headed for the bar. He asked the bartender to make two servings of fries. This kind of food is rare and expensive here, but Roberto has good connections here and is not denied his request.
He stood at the counter while he waited for his order, thinking about how to answer his new friend. He did not want to leave his home, and he was in other places. The bartender brought two servings of fried potatoes and put them on the bar. "At the expense of the bar." Roberto took these portions and said to the bartender: "Thank you, you are the best."
He walked back to where Jade was sitting and set the plates on the table. "You will love this." -Said Roberto as he sat down in his seat. "Coming back to your question, I was outside Gallic space. I was in the war, I flew in special operations very far. I can tell right away, there is nothing interesting there, which is not here."
He picked up his fork and proceeded to his dinner.
