Hey folks,
Just wondering, I purchased an Asco GB for my brigands character, absolutely love the design - reminds me of a B17 flying fortress but with big honkin' engines and no wings.

I was wondering though, there is a big hole in the nose section, with orangy glowing bits in it. Was this originally intended as some kind of mount for a forward cannon? Just a quirk of design?
I guess the reason I thought this was that it's classed as a gunboat, not a gunship yet only has 6 regular turrets.
Not that I'm complaining.. it works pretty well as is.

I noticed this aswell. It looks like it could also be a torp slot.. that'd make the Asco very unique.

Yeah, that would be cool, but far too good. A forward gun would be cool, a SNAC or nova would be far too much.

Actually, it's a gunboat.

Most gunboats have 6 guns, with house ones and BHG having a forward gun as well/instead.

Most 'normal' gunboats have 6 guns, e.g IMG GB, Asco, and Rogue.

Ah ok, well classification aside, it still looks like its just aching for a forward gun in that nose..:D

Meh, inRP, as I remember, it's an old model of the older GRN models, RP it as losing the forward gun xD

Bah.. well then they should have filled the hole in. It only creates expectations that will no doubt remain unfulfilled.. hehe

The hole looks just the right size for the 'railgun' styled projectile some of the codename weapons have, for example the Diamondback.

High-damage, low refire and a tiny firearc would suit it just fine.

(I still think a torp would be fun.. NOVA SPAM!!!:P..)
