⧫ ENCRYPTION: Classified[V]

A new weapon

After negotiations with Premier Gregor Tykovkin of the Coalition we had been informed that the requested Typhoon class Destroyer requested by the Order was ready to be picked up and fielded against the Nomads.
The Typhoon class Destroyer is the first piece of hardware to come out of the Tunis Accords,
a momentous treaty between our organizations reinforcing our mutual dedication to destroying the alien menace and keeping volatile Nomad technology out of Human hands.

Upon hearing of the vessels completion a compliment of operatives was dispatched to retrieve the vessel as well as properly learn to operate it by our Coalition friends.
The newly dubbed Order|CV-Eclipse is perhaps even faster and more agile than our 'Resheph" class Cruisers,
allowing its use for more precise operations without putting the sensitive sensors of a Resheph at risk.

A while back the first report since their departure from Mikolaiv Research Station came in, the Eclipse had run into infectees in the Omega-55 system.
The Order assumes the infected are interested in the system due to artifacts on Planet Sakgen, however Core exploitation has thus far prevented us
from properly assessing the threat level of these artifacts, as well as the accuracy of these suspicions.

At any rate, the infected must have thought they were dealing with a lone Coalition Destroyer because once several of our escorts decloaked they veered off into the Walker Nebula.
Not wanting to put strain on our budding yet fragile relationship with the Corsairs by entering their space, with a Coalition Destroyer at that,
the captain of the Eclipse made the wise move of resuming course.

A bumpy ride home.

With the existence of the Eclipse discovered by the Nomads and their infected ilk, it came as no surprise that an ambush was waiting for the Eclipse once it arrived in the Omicron Delta system.
Nomads swarmed the vessel and its escorts, crossfire filling the void of space around the Jump Hole to the Omicron Kappa system.
Faced with such overwhelming odds the Eclipse assumed evasive maneuvers,
picking off fighters here and there where possible while providing covering fire for its escorts.
The battle was long and hard with escorts going down in a valiant attempt to defend the Eclipse.

Relief eventually came once the Apophis, an Osiris moored at Dabadoru station, arrived and helped turn the tide of battle.
Finally able to go on the offensive, the Eclipse rained down fire upon the heavier assets of the Nomads,
forcing them to pull out or risk destruction in a prolonged battle of attrition.

With the Apophis cleaning up the last remaining Nomads that were pulling out, the Eclipse resumed course and soon finally arrived in Order space proper.

The Eclipses arrival at Carthage was met with great celebration and after the debriefing plans were already being made for its first official offensive operation against the Nomads.
Only time would tell what the service record of the Eclipse would bring; though it was clear that expectations were high.
