Good evening Lords and Ladies of the Kingdom, I am Commander Kingston of the Bretonia Police Authority. I come to you with less than desirable news. We are in need of an increase in funding, with the war finally over and our economy not yet recovered we are in a tight situation where we are scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of funding. We have an increase in crime directly related to the downward slope of the economy and some citizens are becoming desperate. This poses a problem because we are not only facing actual criminals like the Molly's, Gaians and most recently in Cambridge the Corsairs. Having to also diverted resources to calm and in some cases arrest out own people is taking a toll. If the Kingdom can spare more coin to our efforts we will be able to not only fund the training for the new recruits but also service our ships more efficiently and quickly.


Lastly, I wish to inform the Crown of the structure change within the Bretonia Police Authority. Commander which there is only one is the tip of the sprear within the BPA. After taking over I have decided to focus less on titles and more on policing. Maybe in due time I can revisit this change but as of now I Commander Alfred Kingston am the top ranking member of the Bretonia Police Authority.

Commander Kingston,

Your request is a difficult one, our budget is set with the yearly review, so a mid year request for funding can be... problematic. However, it appears you are in luck.

A closure of some borough stations has freed up funds that can be reallocated to stations more in need. I think some more community policing teams would be effective?

The adjustment to positions within the police is unfortunate. It would be good to get a Commissioner back in place. I hope we can find someone suitable for the role soon. Thank you for the update Commander.

Well it would appear we are in luck then, that is great to hear Sir Jones. When it comes to the ranking structure I felt simplicity is the best course for action given the dire times we are in. After I am settled in my position more I will be reviewing each rank within the Bretonia Police Authority and giving them a proper name fitting for a member of Her Majesties Police Force.

You read my mind, more community policing teams would be effective in giving our citizens the peace of mind they deserve so they can focus on going back to work and not worry so much about their families when they are gone.
