I've found that after upgrading to AVG free 8.5 freelancer wont connect to the server. DO NOT update to 8.5!!!

Avira works ok though.

I'm using AVG 8.5 and it working fine.. I think you're encountering a PBKAC* error.

AVG often conflicts with a large number or programs. Just use Avast free edition, rated by PC World as the best free antivirus for the past 4 years in a row. (no, I don't work for them, but I use it on all 500-odd computers that I manage.)

I use Antivirus software once a month.Im behind 2 firewals.
Once a moth i download & burn on cd a scanner,wich then scanns my entire hdd.
Its kinda knopix/ubuntu like.

So far,so good.
