Subject:Minor Royalists emerge - Entertainment to be had!

Bonjour!

It has been a while since Orkney! We still owe you big time, and believe me the surviving ex-royalists within The Union still talk about that day, and probably will for decades to come. But I am not here to talk about our explosive victory that burned thousands of Enclave families.

I am here to talk about a minor threat that could once again lead to our joint operations. It started a few weeks ago - La Maréchaussée de Gaule that was seen countless of times being within the standard Union structure, allying with EFL and rest of Gallic Navy, taking orders from them (as you yourself have clearly seen during The Noble Funeral no doubt) began to act erratically.

First they were seen with what we presumed was a strange Union weapon in Edinburgh, far from The Union supply lines and bases, side by side with La Maréchaussée de Gaule, acting as one.

Some Sirian group called The Order tried to manipulate us into believing it's some sort of fantastical far-fetched alien technology, but they also openly admitted to work with The Union, and denied literal tens of lines of evidence that La Maréchaussée de Gaule were part of The Union structure at the time. That group clearly cannot be trusted, but it did raise questions about La Maréchaussée de Gaule.

Unrest within the Union
Something even stranger happened a few weeks later - when looking for vulnerable targets we have seen MdG be side by side with their Gallic Navy and GNI brethren. But instead of the usual engaging of us side by side like they were doing past several months - they ignored our vessel and instead started shooting each other!

A Royalist splinter cell emerges
Well looks like there is some sort of a turmoil within The Union - the legions of ex-royalists have some squabble with the equally guilty open royalists. It appears that several of them decided to play semantics and departed The Union, lead by La Maréchaussée de Gaule. We have seen a few of them in Edinburgh, side by side with current Union pilots - it is possible they are trying to recruit more of Gallic Navy people to their little rag-tag group.

A minor threat on your doorstep
As you probably know, Roussillon is well guarded. Together with Gaian help we have repelled The Enclave itself from it, the same Enclave that was several orders of magnitude stronger than the current splinter Union cell from what we have seen - and let's not forget that was before we had Pamiers at our disposal. It's hard for us to take them seriously. When we compare them to the insurmountable logistical might of the Union it would appear they no longer make use of since they attacked EFL, GN and GNI, they are nothing but an afterthought.

The Rodez Wreck is the reminder of what happens to Royalists that dare to show their heads in the open in Roussillon.

Nevertheless, I thought it prudent to warn you about the Royalists operating from some sort of hive, possibly in the Edinburgh system once again on your doorstep. We are more than willing to start repaying the huge debt we owe you for Orkney by offering joint Maquis-Gaian patrols around Gaia and The Taus

Hunting Season
There are also many let's say, more enthusiastic, Maquisards that enjoy nothing more than hunting, torturing (and worse) of Royalists for sport, and they got a litter of new easy pickings to slaughter, coming right next to their area of operation in Roussillon. We will be organizing a raiding party soon, probably with our bomber wings, and we would be honored if you would join them on the hunt.

There will be lots of bonding over mutilating any Royalist pray the party comes across, glory to go around and more.

In conclusion
I hope you will find this intel of value, and here's me hoping you will join us on our bomber raid - the details will be transmitted in about a week's time.

Our hunt is a go - please see Christopher Hunter's coordination communique. Frankly, the splintered Royalists have been very quiet lately, we probably scared them off with our...strong...methods. Here's hoping we can still find any, if there are still some left alive. Hope you can make it for the fun!

Gaian wildlife rescue

Now I need to talk to you about something I am not well versed in. I have ran into one Quazar Zoner in Tau-23.

He spoke of having biodomes for these critters, but something tells me you would probably prefer to have them back at their natural habitat?

You have been of great help to us and our cause - frankly, I understand little about Gaia itself but we want to give back any way we can for all your help in Roussillon, Orkney and other places. I have rescued 1,000 of these critters in our transport vessel.

Please advise what should we do with them - would you prefer to send a more suitable transport with environmental controls to pick them up, or maybe want us to ferry them back to Gaia?

Friends,

I have finally met one of you to get these sorted - one Grian-B, and although the pilot talked about a long absence they took in onto themselves to lead the rescued animals to where they belong.

Which was, unsurprisingly, planet Gaia.

The emerald foxes, golden sheep, a family of peacock sbrillus and other critters were released at the sites on the surface picked by Grian.

It was a pleasure taking care of these critters, however briefly - I must say I more and more understand your motivation and where you are coming from with your way of life.
But still, there's no need to talk too much about this to my fellow Maquisards - my fearless guy persona might take a hit if too much talk about me lovingly caring for the Gaian critters starts spreading.

I was rather surprised to hear of the figurehead of the Maquis involving himself personally in something many would deem so 'minor' as the returning of poached, precious Gaian wildlife, and so was my pilot - but we are nevertheless glad that you have, and we are most grateful for it.

As for the pilot's claims yes, I may confirm them.
It is a long story, that of the Artio and its crew, one ill befitting an open channel such as this; suffice to say we are but recently returned to our Bretonia, to find her at once dishearteningly similar and dismally changed.
The similarities lay within our fraught relations with the enforcers and the common enemy we still share, the accursed Royalists. The changes... lie within the swathe of destruction and corruption they have left in their wake, from which Gaia has not been spared.
But I digress.

I am getting a sense of Deja-Vu. Back when they were part of The Union and flew side by side with GN and GNI and had their IFFs La Maréchaussée de Gaule putes clearly controlled something that reminded me of the same images you sent. It even communicated in a similar fashion and guess where it was! In Edinburgh!

Which, by the way, the Order you mentioned completely ignored and tried to cover up, including our mountains of evidence that the MdG were clearly part of the Gallic Navy at the time - this is why we do not trust them, they clearly work with the Gallic Union and the Royalists and cover for the alien technology they have captured. Whatever judgement you give us I would prefer to be your own as that one we trust undeniably rather than theirs.

I don't like this one bit - we have massive projects to focus on, almost all our forces and spies have been moving into Lorraine and Champagne, but this seems very damning. Now, even an Order agent admitted these aliens have never done anything close to what happened to Leeds, and we are fighting against a worse threat to humanity it would appear, but obviously we take this seriously.That this happened in Edinburgh again can hardly be a coincidence and the Royalists might be involved once more.

Please - collect more data, when our projects are complete we will focus on this strife and confront Fae. For the time being we cannot get actively involved as our focus is elsewhere, trying to shape events that can potentially save hundreds of billions of lives as we will gain important traction against the genocidal military dictatorship we are facing if succesful.

Our projects should reach their completion in a few month's time, until then we will keep the Fae at arm's lenght and keep an eye on them.
