The name is Leon, of the freelance Bustard known as NX-01. On a handful of occasions, I have spoken to your shipping vessels, asking about contracts and such. It is at this time I wish to discuss a tangible, not theoretical, contract with you. My Bustard's databanks only hold so much, a restriction of civilian technology. A modular installation has been set up recently to offload all this information so it may be stored in a safe and secure facility. This is where you come in.
What I'm asking, is to perhaps discuss a contract between [*USI*] and my installation, Starflier Base, for supplies to repair and improve its systems and position. Under normal circumstances, I assume your contracts are composed a certain way to be paid after the deal is done. However what I have in mind is a higher sum, but continual support. Not sure if you can accommodate such a contract, or if something similar can be arranged. This is just to ask if you are interested in taking this potential job. If so, we will go from there and discuss the details. . .

I have taken a very close look at your contract, some parts I agree with, and others it seems it will not suite me and my needs for Starflier Base. As of right now, I'm still in the stages of setting up basic needs for my installation. These include a shield generator and a simple cargo storage extension. Once these have been completed, it is at that time we shall start our agreement. You say you will welcome my input, so I have a handful of requests and changes I'd like to put forward. What I originally have in mind is a two-stage proposal contract. What you have presented in your previous communication will serve as the basis of part two. Let me explain my idea for part one, then I'll go into what I agree on for part two.
Once my storage extension is ready and shielding is operational, I'll be needing to overhaul my entire installation's structure to accommodate extra facilities. From what I can gather from the Ames Research Station, it's a tall order of materials I'll need to give the construction bots on board. When all the materials in Stage One are delivered, we move to Stage Two. This is where your previous communication comes in. I'll lay out everything I agree with, and some things that I will not need.
I hope that these points are not too outrageous. I mean no disrespect with sending you my input, as I need specific items and needs. Hope to hear from you soon about my, uhh... counter proposal? . .
The goal of stage one is to completely overhaul Starflier Base. Improve it's computer systems, extend it's modular capacity so it may better sustain itself. I'm happy to pay a large lump sum to have these materials delivered. I'll leave the pricing of this up to you.
The goal of stage two is to completely repair, replace and improve any damaged components from the overhaul. Once my station's hull integrity reaches it's peak, then that's when we will conclude our agreement... if it's accepted, that is.

I can confirm that the robotic repair units on board Starflier Base have managed to piece together all the resources you have delivered and constructed extended module bays. This makes me very happy! Now we will be able to hold more information in our databanks and when it comes to amenities, it'll be easier to manage. Thank you, from myself and all my crew aboard.
Our quartermaster has been sent a list of adjustments to be made to the importation prices of Phase 2 goods. These will be done shortly. My bots have also been instructed to start assembling an additional cargo pod to hang off my hull. One part of your deliveries will be assigned to that project while the rest will be sent to repairing hull integrity. I have a couple of things to bring to your attention: First of all - Congratulations! According to my robots on board Starflier Base, we are at about 70% of what our peak is. You have done a great service to me, and to the rest of the Starfliers crew. Keep it up!
Secondly, now this may be a mistake on my quartermaster's part. I have asked him to correct this. Hope it doesn't turn you away from finishing Phase Two of our contract. The pricing listed on Starflier Base was set much too high, and we re-read the contract and saw that it needs to be lowered to what we both agreed to. Now, I'm happy to have given your Transport Captain's a bonus, but we need to keep our financials in the green to keep our business afloat.
According to our contract, we have changed the import prices of two materials:
We are making good progress and just as important, I am glad that you are finding Universal's service to be as expected.
As for the financials - please do have your quartermaster modify the prices per the contract. As a business man, I can sure appreciate the need to keep accurate financial ledgers. Thanks for the communique, very much appreciated.
