Pleased to make your acquaintance sir. I assume you are aware of my past as an embargo enforcer and privateer. I entertained the notion of returning when the Enclave were fighting to hold out in Edinburgh, but with their withdrawal from the system there seemed little need for my skills in the intelligence branch for the forseeable future. Although I'm not employed by anyone or any faction at the moment, I wasn't expecting to return to Crown service anytime soon and have returned to life as an independent Junker. I appreciate the offer, but I think I'm going to have pass on this one.

While I understand your viewpoint, I'd like you to reconsider. While it is true that the Enclave or the royalists aren't a major player in the Taus anymore, I can assure you that we'll need people of your particular skills in the immediate future, which I will happily brief you on if you're willing.

If you'd prefer to keep your current profession, there's also a possibility to employ you as an independent contractor. That job also has it's particular benefits, however, there are added risks involved. I believe you're familiar with those risks as well.

We wish to employ you either way, Mr. Hudson. And while we're not adamant on the first option of your employment, it is preferred.

Dr. King,

My relationship with Bretonia Intelligence has been tenuous at best over the years. The last couple of years of the war were quite chaotic. I drew the ire of many within the Bretonian 'brass' over my choice of tactics. I suffered from an astounding lack of support during the final months of the occupation of Leeds that I could only blame on introverted policy. I also believe it was that introverted policy that was one of the main causes for the following disaster there. I lost of lot of good people for no good reason, while the leadership squabbled.

Later I briefly rejoined BIS but it was another dead end and I only found it to be an anchor on me. It left me with an already tattered reputation around Sirius as an ever eager Crown lap dog. I wish I could say I have confidence that going back to work for the service this time would be worth it.

So, unless Bretonia falls under a major threat again, I can't bring myself to get involved with the BIS. But, I sympathize with your efforts, and since I am listed as a Freelancer-Junker for hire, I am willing to accept (almost) no questions asked courier jobs, or passenger transport jobs, via freighter or small transport. If you have a civilian contact me on my comm channel, I'll retrieve and deliver small amounts of articles of extreme value or people, and am willing to ship across any area regardless of the, uh...legality. Just have your agent do their business under a cover and be willing to accept the items igcognito. I'm talking about things like small numbers of Nomad materials, special weapons, scientific data, VIP's, etc. I'll take the job to go get the thing, and deliver to a civilian ship or base. If you can make use of that, by all means. That's the best I can do for you for the time being.
