Title of Entry: Quiet Shift today

Apart from a few Golden Chrysanthemum fighters terrorizing Shinagawa station, which I promptly dispatched, there was little activity in Kusari Space. Trade lane scanners show a few transports, but nothing else.

Unfortunately, with the Kusari State Police being chronically underfunded and understaffed, I was again alone on patrol today. Sometimes, I wonder if the Chokan realizes the state of our police department. Additional funding is badly needed to counter the rising terrorist threat posed by the Gen'an cell.

Title of Entry: What is honour?

Today was interesting. I was on patrol in the Shikoku system and I was suddenly disrupted from the trade lane, only to encounter a blood dragon ship and a Gen'an ship. The Gen'an ship was certainly very trigger happy, she even started shooting me while I was talking. In any event, I destroyed her ship, and subsequently realized that a naval forces fighter showed up. There was also a blood dragon capital ship and a naval forces capital ship, which had started firing weapons at each other soon enough.

In the midst of all this chaos, the blood dragon tried to engage us (the naval forces fighter and I) in conversation. She was rambling about Samura corrupting the Kusari government, and about Kusari's war with Gallia. I recall she mentioned "I have seen the piles of rubble, ashes, lost souls when I visited Languedoc." and "Another example of the wrongdoings of the current government."

I wonder what she is talking about. She also said something about looking behind the curtain. I mean, I was aware that the dragons were in power many many years ago, but now they seem more focused on terrorizing Kusari. The police academy was pretty explicit - send those dragons to Fuchu Prison. Maybe there is more to this afterall?

In any case, the dragon and naval forces fighter fought an honourable duel, and the dragon emerged victorious. By now, other naval forces ships had arrived. They taunted the dragon and her damaged ship. I can never understand these crazy navy people - they must love kicking others while they're down. I couldn't stand to watch this slaughter so I left the scene, and I saw the dragon's ship exploding from a distance.

Kusari State Police - Officer's Personal Log Entry - 19.05.828

Title of Entry: Explosive day

Today the (un)official unit of KSP disbanded, so now all remaining police forces are... kind of independent contractors in service to the Kusari Government. Although, I have met members of the Shimamori Clan in the past and I know that they provide some policing services as well.

I drank way too much sake today. I think the disbandment really hit me hard. Clearly not thinking straight during my patrols, I came across an unusual sight - some Gen'an and dragon fighters "following" a Samura transport. They're just following the transport. What?

I finally caught up with them in the Tottori system and the transport kind of disappeared. These fighters were just hanging around. Gen'an said they kidnapped the Samura, but I can't say I believe them. I don't know why I did this, but I ended up having a drink with the Gen'an and dragon fighters. Then I was curious about what the dragons were envisioning about Kusari (blame the sake). I recalled a dragon who previously told me to "look behind the curtains". Curiosity got the best of me and I thought I'd ask to take a look. Anyway, I spoke with the dragon in private (those Gen'an left us alone), and I received some shocking information - to the point where I was in disbelief. Am I fighting for the wrong side? Nah, I can't be. Right?

P.S. apparently I've met this dragon before - although the previous time, I was having trouble with my ship equipment. He was kind enough to let me leave to have my ship repaired.

Title of Entry: Sayonara

Life sucks. It's already difficult to make a living these days. This job is so stressful - I can't imagine the levels of PTSD in all of the past officers who have served. At least I have my sake *chug chug*, and it helps me numb my pain... or regret.

Why do scientists call this star in Honshu "Medium Blue" anyway? It's pretty darn big, but I suppose it does shine blue after all.

Oh what the hell. *Hits the cruise button* I want to apologize to my family, for I have failed them. Sumimasen. I also want to apologize to the Chokan - you probably never knew it, but I wasn't going to stick around anyway. We... you... are fighting for the wrong side. *chug chug* I didn't realize the corruption that was happening in the Kusari government. And I was likely going to turn your ship into space dust one day.

It's already getting pretty hot in here. Well, I better cut this short before the radiation hits the com-
