My internet is bloody slow

Ok normally when i do a download its goes at 90 - 100 KB/sec but latly within the last 3 days it hasn't gone above 20 kb/sec and all my 20min downloads are now 1 hour 30+ and its stupid, any reasons maybe?

Plus i am on Bt home Hub and i am vista

Could be a problem with your ISP. Have you contacted them?

Try changing the HUB to a switch, or if you can, try plugging in directly to your modem. If you have a modem router/switch, make sure you are not in the DMZ port.

If you havn't changed anything, Google: "WinSockXPFix" download that, and repair the TCP/IP tables.

Also try www.speedtest.net for solid information on your true connection speed, and send us the results.

If you're torrenting, maybe try port forwarding. Most ISPs block default ports for the more common programs, which can cripple your download speed.

I have just realised that my very slow downloading only happerns to freelancer downloads from this site ie "4.84" and "4.85" Beta and update 1 and Modmanager they are slow but anyother download is up in 90 Kb/sec why is this?
