If you want to do "specimen containers" on your ship that are far removed from the scientists and crew, first of all, put them way in front or way in back, not side to side or above/below. It just makes the ship hard to handle, especially in lanes.
Second, it would be really cool if you could make the separation between them something like an open steel frame, with empty space in between. Since the purpose is just to keep the specimens isolated, you don't need a whole bunch of pressurized structure in between. You could even make it fully isolated, and require external spacewalks to get access to. After all, these are possibly dangerous things, don't want Nomads infesting the crew or anything.
Yes, the nomads...think about the nomads! They are nasty mix of flesh and liquid, in a most disgusting way, and they are always hungry for new friends:tease:
Thanks to all that replied! I think that that's a good idea, I'll isolate the two compartments with a spacewalk/open steel frame. I also figured that I would throw in a claw on the back just to add to crew not coming into contact. Also Last night I positioned the engines underneath? if that makes sense? I'll post new pictures as soon as I'm done remodeling the front and pretty much everything.
