I understand the lore of the original Freelancer game better than anyone. Sorry, but it's true! I have a parasocial relationship with Chris Roberts and he doesn't reciprocate it at all! It's great, it gives me delusions of grandeur and I've never felt better. I am completely romantically fulfilled.
Actually, to be fair, I think I felt better before the sperm and ovum became a zygote, but whatever. "I" doesn't really apply before then, does it?
Food for thought and discussion below.
Aight.
So that said, early on I was a pretty huge detractor of Star Citizen.
I could go into all the reasons for why, but see above: I'm a Freelancer nerd yo.
I know all about it. Chris Roberts? Haha, he has his head in the clouds and both feet off the ground.
Deary me, I was so wrong. He has at least one foot on the ground. This has been obvious for some time, but I haven't said it yet so I should say it now. He's doing it. He's actually gosh darn hecking doing it. Good on him. I've never been happier to be proven wrong in every way. Good gosh and golly, SC blows my mind in all the ways my ex never could.
It's pretty cool sh*t and you should check it out.
I'm waiting for it to cement the rest of its key gameplay features and get to a stage where they're tweaking rather than actually still designing the game. But it does look promising, I can only hope it finishes what Freelancer couldn't.
On indefinite hiatus because the current state of gameplay sucks - ping me over discord if replies are needed
