I'm sure a lot of us have taken notice of how mining has improved thanks to the plug-in Canon has come up with. However, there's another economic specialty that hasn't been addressed - human cargo. Passengers, Vacationers, VIPs, even Slaves, etcetera, are now considered a viable alternative to traditional trading - but not a better one. What I'd like to see is another FLHook plugin that will give the player financial support for having appropriately laid-out vessel for carrying human cargo - lower buy and higher sell prices for live cargo units for having a passenger vessel, matching tag/ID, etcetera. Is this viable, and is there enough of a desire to spend time having it implemented if so, or am I just a little too far outside the box again?

So what you are saying is that we should be able to mine people from planets? Genius!
*Ahem*
But yes, you make a good point, if a properly set up mining ship reaps higher yields from ore fields, then why not with other commodities if you have the required setup?
It would certainly encourage more varied means of trading, perhaps utilising systems and ships that otherwise lie unused.
Also, what will there be to keep someone benefiting from this to say, team up with another non-human transporter, pick up passengers from a low price planet, transfer them to the other guy in orbit, and have the other guy drop back down to sell them at the higher price?
Well, I mean, even the Slave Liner is good for that; there's enough justification to use it for cardi hauling right there, people already to that.
And yes, mining people would be awesome. Fire a razor into the surface, watch the civvies fly up into space, tractor 'em in, sell 'em to the Outcasts:D
EDIT: Hm. That's a good point. What about a plugin to prevent non-liner ships from holding more than a set amount of passengers? If, of course, that can be done.

But err yes back to the topic. I think it would be bad due to wot the above post said. There would be liners continually doin cardi/slaves.
But there's already a liner for that specific purpose, you'll note. Not to mention, the slave plugin could only be applied to certain ships, or, since slaves need not be treated normally, they could just not be considered human cargo.

Nothing sickens me more than people in transports and cargo in liners. Apart from loads of other things, actually. But still, I disapprove of it. Some sort of thing along these lines would be excellent.
I think we ought to leave actual numbers to Xoria, since it's basically his economy; best not to muddle with his model, I just wanted to see if people liked the idea.
