Purpose:
After weeks of work using information from The Order we are ready to deploy inhibitors in Orkney that will prevent the aliens that brutalised the system from using their advanced tactics that caught us off guard.

The powering up procedure will take about an hour, during which the inhibitors will be extremely vulnerable. We also expect that the powering up of the inhibitor energies will attract the enemy from all ends of the system and trigger them to try prevent their deployment at all costs. The unstable Maquisard and Gaian terrorists cannot be trusted either as they have proven time and time again with their descents to madness - we expect them to be attracted by the activity, and we cannot count on them being on humanity's side. There might be other parties present like the Outcasts - we must bring everything we can!

Who is needed
Full force of the Gallic Navy Combined Fleet.
The Gendarmerie will provide the bulk of our forces, but we need all capital ship fleets the Main Fleet can spare, and every Security Buerau ship available to prevent any terrorist attacks that can occur during the chaos.

GNS-Richelieu will provide jump drive bridge for Lorraine Battlegroups right before deployment.

It is April first tomorrow but we expect you all to save your pranks and jokes for the victorious afterparty. Pour Gallia!

Details:

• For duration of the event, Orkney will have its respawn timer disabled.
  
• Event is open to every ID with ZoI in the system, regular roleplay and engagement rules still apply.
  
• The event will be balanced with PVE spawns. Special NPCs are set up with a chance to drop special item rewards (Scidata, Codenames, Thrusters, etc). They will be spawned at different difficulty levels or with different IFFs depending on participating ships present.
  
  
• /restart EventOrder will be available for duration of the event as an alternative for Order players, it'll provide a fully-kitted fighter parked in Orkney. Other (main) factions involved already have their standard restart pretty closeby.

Results:

The attempted deployment has triggered Alien lifeforms from the entire sector to assault Issoudun. The Maquisards and Gaians have abused the situation and rather than unifying with the defenders joined the frontal assault on the shipyard. The defenders of Crayter, Gallic Union and the Order were overrun.

Issoudun was destroyed. The Gendarmerie Director General, Thierry Agard, General d'Armee was killed, as were hundreds of Gendarmes that assisted the deployment - the single worst loss for the Gendarmerie or Gallic Police in history as unlike their civilian predecessors they remained in the vanguard of Issoudun defense.

Issoudun is Gone. Gendarmerie suffered a heavy blow. The future of Orkney itself is in question. This day will be remembered as the biggest setback in the short history of the Gallic Union.
