Lowering Freelancer Rep

Alright, so I have a slight issue.
I have a character that's just on the border with green with the Freelancers who needs to gain a Freelancer tag.
Now, I have plenty of money for a double bribe. The problem is that my rep with them at the moment is too high to get a bribe at Barrier Gate Station. Furthermore, I can't really just shoot Freelancers to lower my rep with them since FL NPC's appear randomly and not too often.

To further complicate the issue, I need the other reputations (as in with lawfuls and unlawfuls) to remain as they are.

My idea right now is to go the O-49, kill a bunch of Zoner NPC's to lower my rep with Zoners to buy a triple Zoner bribe, which might bring my freelancer rep all the way up, then /droprep until the Freelancer tag is flashing.

Is there a better way of going about this?

Only way to do it, man. Just find somewhere that they swarm. THe Sigma 19->17 gate used to be a great place for that, dunno if it is anymore.

If you're on decent terms with the Outcasts, poke around near Malta and you'll see them. Usually only one at a time, which is a good thing given their AI and equipment...

If you're up for something a bit rougher, the Siniestre Cloud in Omicron Alpha, at least in 4.84, spawned Freelancer Sabres with Coladas and Krakens.
