Kusari "Tone" Class Battlecruiser (( The definition of ''Tone'' = "Land Possessor" ))
The latest spawn of the Naval Forces' industrial complex, the "Tone" is a ship designated to dominate the middle-ground between Destroyers and Battleships. During the first months of the war against Bretonia it became apparent that the old and venerable Kusari Destroyer was not a ship suited for extended operations in hostile territory.
While very agile and suited to navigating the dense asteroid fields in the Tau systems, the ships were simply not able to carry extended amounts of fuel and supplies to last long without logistical support. The employment of more Battleships was not an option either, as while these did not suffer from the drawbacks of the Destroyer, they were not only very costly to manufacture and maintain, but also ill-suited to the environment of the Tau systems.
To further capitalize on the successes in the war, the Naval Forces were hard pressed to devise a ship which would be able to sustain itself longer than the Destroyer without being as impractical as the Battleship. Soon a first draft was made, and so came to be the "Tone" Class Battlecruiser, a ship which should not be underestimated, as it is kitted out with the latest Kusari sensor, engine, and weapons technology while still being fairly compact and not too expensive to maintain.

the idea is to bridge the gap between uber small dessie and epic huge battleship with something that meets both midway, which this one does. for size comparison, its only jut shorter than the bret bs in length (the next two pictures are a bit older than the completed version, but the size is still the same):
While the vessel is lovely, I feel that it has the capability to host a few more aesthetic amenities without detracting from the warship feel. A KNF sigil, a slight pronouncing of hypothetical turret slots and so on.
The overall shape of the vessel is fantastic, it's extremely bold and extremely fluid.
I like it a great deal.
*grins* Just replace the Kusari dessy with it entirely and we'll have a deal. Down with the gunboat cruiser.

Dusty, as usual, is right. A little bit more aesthetic love and it's good to go. Hell, it's good to go now, but it could go from exceptional to even more exceptional.
