Ship log #1, begin.
This is Captain James Howard, reporting on the situation.
On 30th of April 829, Starlancer have been commissioned into Insurgency Navy as a first Mediator class Battleship, we arrived in Veracruz's orbit to reinforce the Triton's defense line, since then we have detected medium activity from Liberty Navy and from attack group spearheaded by Battleship Delaware. However, on first of may we've engaged Battleship LNS Death Valley, a Liberty Dreadnought whose captain thought he can take a heavy warship and successfully disabled it, but we've sustained moderate damage due to our crew being only skeleton one, our operational capacity is sixty percent - Starlancer is currently patching up at Marshall station and will continue to defend the orbit with Triton within few hours or less.
It is unknown to me how long we can last in the Vespucci system against Liberty Navy, they're outnumbering us two to one and should we come within scope of the attack group, we would definitely be destroyed into debris and thus staying within Triton's range is the best option. We shall not leave our post, unless the situation turns dire, then I won't think twice to act.
Ship log #2, begin.
We've managed to destroy Delaware.
But, the cost of this engagement is high as Battlecruiser Triton now sits heavily damaged, it is being reported that the vessel is being repaired in the orbit - however there is not much time before the second onslaught comes from Liberty Navy as Carrier Ohio, reported by intelligence to be mix of a Battleship and a Carrier, is coming into Vespucci - our forces have so far blocked the Kansas jump hole, however the firepower and support Ohio will have will be most likely overwhelming and second assault onto Veracruz will be deadly, it has to be stopped.
Lucky for us, we've got some good news to report, Insurgency salvage teams were able to get experimental hull plating off the Battleship Delaware, and it's being applied to Starlancer as I report this due to our ship being most effective during counteroffensive yesterday, alongside, we're getting the full crew compliment coming from Planet Veracruz to fill the gap - we're officially operating at one hundred percent.
Lastly, I've tried to contact Battleship Harmony about so-called "Free Republic", and where had the elements of battlegroup gone to, but received to no answer to my questions. I shall give it some time for Admiral Knight to answer, but I expect that they abandoned Insurgency all together, which is already irresponsible act in face of being leader of an entire force against tyranny of House Liberty. In either case, I'm not interested in their endeavor nor leaving people to die in Vespucci.
I'm reporting that the ship is moving out of the Vespucci system to the California to ambush an Osiris Class Battleship in California system known as "Akhetaten", the operation will be led by Admiral West - if we succeed, a valuable asset to Liberty Navy will be destroyed, critical to the invasion.
We shall enter California with our jump drive, report will follow tomorrow on the aftermath of the operation.
Ship log #3, begin.
I'm reporting that the operation has succeeded in partial victory.
We were able to jump as planned into California system near friendly forces consisting of Battleship Glory, Battlecruiser Verona and Flaming Hand, alongside Cruiser Mercutio. We awaited time to strike with Admiral West in Abaddon waiting to cut the trade lane to Battleship Akhetaten while our friendly forces awaited in the ice field, when the moment arrived, the intelligence was right, and we were able to quickly deploy to Abaddon's location to engage the enemy Battleship, which sustained heavy damage during the engagement, however we were not able to engage further as enemy reinforcements arrived.
During the time the reinforcements arrived, we were targeted by several bombers which intended to disrupt our attack on Akhetaten, alongside an enemy battlecruiser who's of them got too close to Starlancer, disabling it in the process. In the end, we were forced to break off the engagement with the Liberty Navy and jump back to Vespucci system to receive repairs, alongside other friendly warships as well, which retreated back to safety of the Whitney field.
As a report again: the operation was a partial success, Akhetaten will be out of action for some time, and we can focus on securing Vespucci.
