Day 2 (April 16, 2009)

Im still struggling on finding out whats happening. Hoodlum, sounds like he's helping me....but I aint doing any success. Today i manage to stay online with the Zoner Colony:~ Auxium for 30 secs, not much but it crashed again when i increase the engine speed. I run a "Disk Defragment" and "Disk Cleanup" to clear up the files i dont need, but it also didnt work. I re-install EVERY SINGLE FILE that i need for the server connection, and still no success. As a result, that was my 8th re-installation.

Also, today i checked the other server, "Discovery USA" and it also happening there as well. So, i believe is the Update that messed with those character....2 characters out of the 3 i have. why it couldn't be the fighter ship i have. I won't give up. Im not a quiter. I'm gonna find out whats the problem!

Admins, if you can help me i would be very glad.

Remember, my characters THAT is having an issue are:

-Zoner-Colony:~Auxium
-Silencer

If any other member have any thought of whats happening, please post your thought...it might be helpful and worth trying.


P.S. I have Windows Vista: Home Premium, but i know that can't be the problem. Because I was playing for 11 months with this computer in this server, and no problems i have had until now after i have install the update. (Two updates already and look what it has done to my favorite characters)

Are you using Freelancer Mod Manager 1.4 Beta? If you are, stop using it, use the 1.31 version. It's more stable and is virtualy bug free.

also, before running anything freelancer, right click on the icon(s), go to properties>compatability and check off "Run as administrator". This includes the DSUpdater, the Mod Manager, Account Manager, etc...

Try unmounting and remounting anything on your ship, as well as selling any of your commodities. People got hit for cheating when they got the first beta from 4.84 to 4.85. thats about all i can think of at the moment.

ok. make a new account with FLMM. and make a star flea, fly around in it for a bit.

if you do choose to make it on a brand new account, and it does not work I.E. has the same problem.
try sending the starflea account to someone else.(you can send it to me if you want) so that you can see if it is a problem with the charactar. or something else

I had to get rid of AVG because the new version doesn't allow freelancer to be played, it's version 8.5 thats the problem.

i have none. Its running Windows Firewall. But its not the server thats crashing, is the characters thats making the server crash.

It crashes as soon i take off. I think is the account, i dont know what else could it be...
