Its always difficult to wait for the end - so it was for Zakaryan, once a well respected officer and the leader of Battlegroup Inquisition but now just a shadow of his former power. The man was one of those who left to defend the Insurgency's last stand - the planet Veracruz and Vespucci itself, before they fall. Knowing that couldn't help to compensate the bitterness of soon-coming dead - they all were already dead, Liberty has numerous and technological advancement, better pilots and the Insurgency's only answer is knowledge of the area and guerrilla warfare to weaken the opponent before the fight comes in. Its not enough, never been, never will.

The dreams Zakaryan had last days were grim: he saw his now dead comrades who gave their life for an idea of better Liberty. Idea that never became reality. Idea that was backstabber by former allies. He saw ash falling from the sky on the black surface of Veracruz - all that left after Liberty Navy started to bomb planet from orbit, destroying settlements and starting massive flames all across the planet. It was not as horrible as Leeds, but it was horrible nevertheless.

Sometimes, he had impression he was not alone - like someone was watching after him, but how could it be possible in his own dreams? Dreams he could barely remember when he woke up.
