Background:

The Loyal Sons of Tigris, named after a figure in their story, are the growing representation of the Tigris Confederation from the old Sol Eastern Coalition. Whether they are a group derived from the Hispania infiltrators/saboteurs as they say, one of the small groups that attempted to follow the sleeper ships, or any other origin is not entirely known, as their DNA has proved untraceable beyond a certain point. They are followers of Islam by name only, and several of their beliefs seem to differ greatly from the religion as it was in Sol. All Islamic texts remained in Sol, with only portions being saved in Alliance museums. They posses many texts bearing the original names, such as Qur'an, Kitab al-Kafi, and Tahdhib al-Ahkam among others, but their authenticity is doubtful given the fact that there is simply little to no possibility that full copies of the texts would have been brought on any ship leaving Sol. Instead, they seem to have based much of their faith on archived news and damage reports from old Sol recordings in the Liberty and Rheinland Sleeper Ship History Museums on a group called Jund As-Sama, which was infamous for their particularly hostile campaign against the Western Alliance.

Much of their religious ideology is apocalyptic, believing that causing chaos in and among the offspring of the Western Alliance, or "The Struggle", will hasten the return of a holy figure which will bring about the end times, which in turn brings rewards in the afterlife for both those who ascribe to the religion, and those who uphold the religion's tenants regardless of allegiance. Before their religion, however, they seem to simply be a large familial clan that has retained a single identity for multiple centuries. For a time, they were confined mostly to groups within cities on the surface of Jiangxi, but recently have grown exponentially, consisting now of "towns" and even small "cities" within the deadzones. With their population finally reaching levels that could be noticed within the overarching Coalition people, they have recently taken to space.

Their entrenchment in the more hostile zones, especially in the Red Zones, has been observed to be a result of their religious beliefs. As the group grows, a few higher ranks in the Coalition Command suggest assigning the group to cleanup on Jiangxi, given that they already live in the affected areas. Thus far, such ideas have been shot down with logistics concerns.

Mother Tigris:

Mother Tigris, for whom the group is named, is a figure stemming from almost entirely oral tradition among the Tigris Confederation people. Her story goes as such:

Named after the nation she was born to to invoke on her the same blessing their nation received from The One True God, Tigris was among the Hispanian infiltrators when they arrived in Sirius, and was also among the saboteur team. After several detonations ripped the hull of the Hispania open, she along with others fled towards Crete. During this time, she was confined to a mountainous region of Crete in a small, barely habitable series of caves a significant distance from the main group of Hispania survivors, struggling to work a small field in the mineral rich soil to survive. After some time, she wished to have sons to help her with this work, to ease the burden she had to bear. The God of her forefathers had not abandoned her, nor her ancestors, however, and completely alone on this planet she gave birth to 7 sons over 7 years. As these sons grew, so did the field which she worked, and alone on this planet they became the only family to carry the blood of Ismael into the Sirius Sector.

On the day that the eldest son came of age, the other Hispania survivors found her, but did not recognize her, and invited the family and moreso their farm into the greater city they had founded. They never forgot where they came from, however, and Mother Tigris said to her eldest son: "Go, find a wife, and bring her to our family." This he did, and so did each of the other 6 sons. For four generations, Mother Tigris watched over her sons, and their sons, and their sons, until once in her final days she brought the eldest son of the eldest son of the eldest son to her side, and told him many things. She told him that they would not be forever bound to this planet, that their suffering would come to an end, and that the enemy of their forefathers would be struck down by their hand. In saying this, she passed away. It would be many centuries before the Silent Exodus to the Omegas, where the sons of Tigris would once again meet with their brothers from Sol.

- {LSOT> is an open tag. Fly it if you so feel inclined, just don't stink up the RP.
- Uniform is Coalition ships and green engines. This means you are mostly locked to snubs and gunboats, but if you somehow SRP a coalition cap with green engines, more power too ya.
- {LSOT> is primarily faux Islam Arabic RP, and secondarily other forms of Arabic. Please don't stink up the RP.
- No, its not like modern terrorists. It's like ancient expansionism back in 622A.D. Please (please) don't stink up the RP.
- More will be added as more happens.

I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.

Mobile Assault and Settler Vehicles:

On the surface of Jiangxi, The Loyal Sons of Tigris civilian groups, colloquially known as "Zealots" live nomadic lives in the heavily irradiated areas, salvaging the remains of military outposts destroyed in the siege of 817. Recovered loot is bartered with other civilian settlements, mostly New Hong Kong, for supplies to further their expeditions. Zealots don't have settlements, per se. Instead, due to the intense radioactive dust storms and "sand hurricanes" present in the nuclear zones, they live in family groups on convoys of large vehicles called Mobile Assault and Settler Vehicles, sometimes called "MassVs" or "Chariots". These convoys tend to consist of one massive Mobile Base Vehicle, one to two Dedicated Repair Vehicles, a Dedicated Supply Vehicle, and several Point Defense Vehicles.

Despite the sheer size of these vehicles, with the Supply Vehicles being roughly 8,400 cubic meters in volume and 10,600 tons in weight and the Base Vehicles being easily double that, several sets of powerful engines on each vehicle bring the speeds of these convoys in excess of 150km/hr. Most versions of all vehicles also come sporting treads instead of wheels, allowing for the rapid crossing of difficult terrain and a much larger weight dispersion that completely eliminates the threat of getting stuck in swampy and muddy zones.

One of the most impressive adaptations to this life is the vehicle docking bays on the Base Vehicles. With the deployment and retrieval of various scout and supply collection vehicles while on the move becoming an adopted tactic, or "hit and run scavenging", a necessity for efficiency of deployment arose. With vehicles in excess of 20,000 tons travelling at high speeds, brake systems become not just a mechanical part, but a high-demand commodity, and anything to reduce the cost of braking was considered a literal godsend. To this end, engineers from three of the most influential families convened at a ruins commonly used for inter-family meetings, a location jokingly called "The House of Wisdom" in irony of several events regarded as highly foolish, and crafted the High-Speed Vehicle Docking Bays.

The function of the docking bays is that a large section of hull is cut out from the central bottom rear of the Base Vehicle which smaller vehicles can drive into. A set of clamps from the side hold and then slightly lift the vehicle off the ground, at which point the vehicle is to engage it's brakes and stop the tires from moving. Then, a floor is cycled beneath the vehicle, and it is lifted through an airlock where it is purged of radioactive dust, and then lifted into the main docking bay itself. The reverse of the process is used to release vehicles from the docking bay.

These docking bays allow Zealot families to explore and loot locations while in motion, and to explore tangential points of interest without expending brake pads, brake fluid, or air compressor fuel. The fast moving convoys offer one of the only two signs of life that exist in the heavily irradiated, the other being the sonorous calls to prayer that blast from powerful loudspeakers on the Mobile Bases.

I'll do something about my superiority complex when I cease to be superior.
