I see there are Anomalies scattered in the universe and they can be scanned. My question is how scanning works and what it yields. What equipment (and ammo) do you need? Is it ID specific? What's the process? Thank you

Thank you Starfliers. However this guide sounds outdated regarding anomaly locations. Omega-2 is listed but the system doesn't exist anymore. Does anyone know a few trustworthy locations?
