A lone Rheinwehr Valkyrie approaches Freeport 8 in Sigma-15, enters its No Firing Zone and requests permission to dock at the already moored MFE|~Healing.Heart. Pilot none other than Oberleutnant Habermeyer. "This is fine, you can do it. Just another examination, a few talks. Calm what has been stirred... keep it together, Traudel. Sonja is alright... " Her head was spinning, so much had happened.
Cleared to land, Traudel proceeds to find a free spot, deactivates engines and removes her helmet. Leaving the ship, stepping out into the Healing Heart's hangar - only to promptly turn around again and walk back inside. "The tuna, the tuna, the tuna ... i forgot the tuna. Can't forget the tuna..." Rummaging around the Valkyrie's cargo hold, she starts to laugh and shakes her head. Having found what she was after, attempt number two began. Stepping out once more. Addressing whoever might or might not be around to welcome her.
"Entschuldigung, lost in thoughts... we are good now."

Sonja smiled as she stood in the secure area of the Hangar and waited for Traudel to land, as always there was a cute Grey and Brown Cat on her shoulder that watched over everything. Sonja had already waited for Traudel to arrive on this day and had Reserved the Rest of the Day for Traudel. Even when Traudel was a friend she would need to be Professional at this Meeting as she was now also her Patient. But Sonja would make sure that she was doing her best to help her friend with whatever problem she might have.Sonja: oh look there Niki Traudel has landed, you have to be extra nice today as she haves a problem that she needs our help with.She smiled as her Cat made a Loud and Happy Meow and Received some Pets and some Cuddles between her ears. Sonja knew that she could count on Niki to help Traudel with her Problems and she was happy with her little Companion.
Sonja waited till the was parked and then left the safety area in the hangar and walked over to the ship, she noticed that Traudel seemed to be confused and walked back to her shíp as if she had forgotten something. Of course, it was Niki that heard what she was searching for a way before Sonja could, the cat's ears pricked up immediately and worked like a Radar that picked up everything that Traudel said.Sonja: oh you shouldn't say that word too loud, or Niki will never let you go again.She laughs as Niki Launches off from Sonjas Shoulder and lands Gracefully on Traudels Shoulders and rubbed her head on hers while she purrs loudly and happily. Sonja: Well looks like it is already too late, looks like she decided that she will ride on you now. Well now let us go to my office so we can speak in private and see how we can help you.She smiled as she began to walk with her and goes through the Medical Security Scanns with Traudel so that no Viruses or other Sicknesses would be imported onto the ship. Sonja Smiled friendly at Traudel as she walked with her through the Friendly Decorated Hallways of the Ship, here and there were Halloween Decorations, or she could see Patients that were carving the pumpkins that Decorated the place. Even Sonjas office had some little Decorations and a Bowl of Candy on the Table at the Couche where she sits down. Sonja: Now then Traudel why don't you tell me about your problem so I can see how I can help you?
As Traudel notices both Niki and Sonja, the first of many smiles follows. One hand carried a can of tuna, the other already busy waving. "Haha! Maybe i banked on that, wishing for some feline company after all those stressful days. Hallo you two, it is so good to see you in person once more. I-...huh!" As Niki jumps and lands on Traudel's shoulders, she giggles a bit and begins to pet the cat. "Jaaaa i know, i've been gone a long time. I knoooow i've been a very horrible servant to you, oh grand, wise and fluffy deity. I hereby solemnly vow to be better. I even brought tribute! But... all in due time."
Clearly in good spirits, she follows Sonja through the usual procedure of being scanned. Nothing had changed from last time, no infections or unwanted guests present. On the way to the office, her attention does wander to some decorations and patients working on pumpkins. "Right, it's that time again. I almost forgot... " Having entered the office, Traudel takes a seat as well. Careful to not rock Niki back and forth to much, her movements are slow and deliberate.
"Oh my, where do i start? Ahm... in the past two weeks, i have encountered quite a lot of things. Not that it isn't to be expected in my line of work, but a few of those things? They ... they were more than even i, with my vivid imagination, could have thought of. Ahm... i ... i have what i was permitted to share with me. Medical documents, i mean." Nearing the main topic, her thoughts seemed to drift away a little again. Searching her uniform's pockets for a moments, before presenting them.

"I believe there is nothing really problematic in there, at least i hope it isn't. Now the reason why i wanted to talk to you is ... uhm. There is an overwhelming feeling of not being up to tasks. Of being pitied by everyone around me. Of ... huh... being in way over my head." Hesitation follows, paired with a frown. Bright blue eyes lock onto the bowl of candy. "I had thre- two! ... two encounters with Nomads. My first ones in such direct contact, to be precise. There has been a whole host of other things as well, but i believe starting with the most complicated and getting it out of the way first is best." Without asking, how rude, Traudel extends a hand to take some candy. "Both happened last week... i was alone during the first one. Spotted an unfamiliar reading on my scanners, approached and found out it was a Nomad. I ... ... " She lifts her shoulders, while simultaneously shaking her head and giving a false laugh. "Ohhh why do i bother, ... it sounds stupid in my head already."
[MFE]~Healing.Heart, Sonja Wilkes Doctors Office , Sigma 15 Sonja nods and watches her friend closely, she knew that the fact that Niki Cuddles with Traudel could already calm her and give her a better feeling. Sonja Noticed how Distracted her friend was and how Nervous she looked. Sonja was worried about what might have happened to her friend and how she could help her.
Sonja: we take this Slowly Traudel, one thing after the other. These Medical Documents are good Because I might have to prescribe you some medication and I don't want to cause any side effects that might be bad for you because the medicine that you take and what I prescribe you don't like each other.
Sonja Read the Medical Files while she Listens to the things Traudel said and smiled Warmly and kindly to her as she makes some notes on a Tablet PC. she was writing down the things that Traudel tells her and also some of the thoughts that came to her mind about that. She didn't mind that Traudel took some candy as it was there to calm down the Patients and Distract them a bit so they can talk more freely.
Sonja: I know that the Encounter with Nomads can be a Scary thing and that it can traumatize you. I have encountered Nomads Many Times during my travels and it is nothing that you will ever be fully used to. But it's nothing to be ashamed of, and it is not stupid to speak about what bothers you.
She smiled and Reaches over the Table to take Traudels Hand and give her a smile while Niki jumps into Traudels Lap and gets comfy as she purrs and also tries to make the human feel better by simply being there for Traudel. She was talking softly and friendly as she used some of the techniques that she learned to make her relax a bit so that she could find enough inner peace to talk about the things that bothered her.
Sonja: Please be completely open with me Traudel, you can Trust me and anything you will tell me will leave this room. I am not a Rheinwehr Doctor and I will not report anything to them. I know that Military Members like yourself always have to act Mighty and Strong, but here you can let go of that mask and talk about the things that bother you so much that you came here to have my help. This Place is 100% Safe and none of your Comrades from the Rheinwhere will ever know what we talk about. You are more than up to the Tasks you have as a Soldier of Rheinland, and you are a good one from all that I have experienced so far. But it is a Common Fear that when you have a Job where you are Responsible for others that you Doubt yourself and think that you are not up to the task. Even I am Plagued by such thoughts from time to time and ask myself if I do not do more harm than good to my Patients. But then I always remind myself that I have Studied the Human Mind and Helped many Patients before and that there are always my Colleagues whom I can Ask for Advice when I need it.
She smiled friendly at Traudel as she sits back again. She understood the Nomads and the Effects that they had on the Human Mind and the Psyche better than Traudel would ever know. Someone inside of Sonja had an amused Chuckle about this, but Sonja told her Sister that this wasn't for her amusement it was to help her Patient. Sonja always separated her Work as a Doctor from the Life she had as a being of the Light.
Sonja: now then Traudel, Tell me about that experience with the Nomads.
With Niki jumping on her lap and Sonja taking a hand of hers, Traudel sighs once more. But a corner of her mouth was slowly climbing, while Niki was being gently patted."Thanks you two. I am ... i am just so ... ... uhhff, where do i begin? I have a feeling i am overwhelmed by things, ja. And nein nein, it is less my need to put up a strong facade. I am well aware of not being the strongest weapon in the Kaiser's arsenal. At least not in direct combat. That is fine with me. I know my worth, most of the time. I believe my issues are more along the lines of ... noticing 'faceless' enemies do have faces, so to speak. And are more than simply an unnamed mass to fire at. It starts to take its toll on me."
Staring at the ceiling for a bit, Traudel exhales in a long drawn out fashion."The first Nomad encounter was ... not what i had expected. I knew only about reports and word of mouth. And was bracing myself for assaults on my mind and immediate hostilites. I ... ... was not prepared for what followed instead. That Nomad did communicate with me, i saw... rough shapes and just 'thought' concepts. It was strange. They were about ... well ... about water. Or a sea. A-and swimming in that - together. Playfully even. It felt like i was interacting with a child. Which made this whole meeting all the more abstract and surreal. It did start to shoot at me, we fought for a while and it managed to get the upper hand. Then it stopped, decided to let me be in my burning ship. It could have finished me then and there, just like that. But nein, i was spared. By the Kaiser, not just spared but even received reassuring and encouraging images of a 'next time' and 'being better'. It departed afterwards, allowing me to return to safety." While talking, Traudel had stopped several times to cuddle Niki. Realizing this, she blinks and gently smiles at the cat on her lap. Starting over again.
"This somewhat pained me. It seems so many different people and beings refuse to treat me like they do most others. Am i ... am i just not worth it? Is it that? Or is it the other direction? Me being worth all that extra attention? And if so ... why? I do nothing different. To be honest, i would have found it way easier to deal with if that Nomad would have just ... did what i thought it would do." With cluelessness in her voice, she takes another piece of candy from the bowl.
"The second time? Another Nomad, but this time i was not alone. It observed and kept its distance to us, up until some Unioners had left. While investigating and getting closer, it flew around a little. Did not fire. But started to glow more and more, our instruments went crazy. It did that twice - the second time vanishing completely from our scanners. Granted, that might have just been a scout or something. But... it was quite close to the first encounter i had. So perhaps there was a connection." Lifting her shoulders several times.
"You said you had a lot of Nomad encounters. Have they done something like that around you, too? Is that ... common? Did people just not bother telling me otherwise?"
[MFE]~Healing.Heart, Sonja Wilkes Doctors Office , Sigma 15 Sonja: you don't need to be the Strongest Weapon in the Arsenal or the Best Fighter and Soldier to be an important part of the Rheinwehr Traudel. And about those Faceless Enemys, I can tell you that I would advise you to Trust your Instincts. If you are Suspicious about something then Act Accordingly, it is not bad to be too Careful instead of being Clueless and Suprised.
Sonja Smiled Kindly and made some Notices as she listened to the things Traudel told her about the Encounters she had with the Nomads, she knew a lot about them and how they operated as she was part of the Light herself. But this was something that she could never tell Traudel, even when the knowledge would help her friend to understand the things that had happened better. As a Doctor, she had made an oath that she would help, but to Reveal this secret would put her life in Danger. She smiled at Traudel and talked to her in a Clam Voice.
Sonja: Nomads are one of the Big Mysteries of the Universe. I can't tell you why the First Nomad Spared your Life, but from the Encounters I had with them so far, I can tell you that they do not always behave as we expect them. Sometimes they are Like Curious Children that Discover the World through Trial and Error. And that this Nomad didn't Blow up your ship must not mean that it has seen you as "Not Worth it" I rather think that this Nomad might have seen something in your mind that made it believe that you were a Worthy Woman that should not fall from its hands, or Tentacles or whatever else they have.
She knew that it could have many Reasons why the nomad has spared but she also knew that the ways in which the Light ones Decided what to do were often hard to understand from a Human Point of View. She smiled at Traudel and looked at her as she decided that she would share one of her own Storys from the Time before she Joined the Light.
Sonja: You are right that I had also Experienced with Nomads, to be honest, I had quite a Few. Not all were nice ones, but I survived them all. I can tell you about one of my experiences that I had that also left me Confused. Back then I was still flying as a Transport Pilot for Freeport 5. I was flying through the Void and was all alone as a Huge Noad Form Appeared in front of me. I was shocked as this thing had the Size of the Healing Heart and I was in my Small Litle Dromedary. I thought I would not survive it, but the Nomad didn't want to harm me. It Carefully Entered my mind and Showed me weird Images while I think it looked through my Memories. I don't know what I have seen in there, maybe what my Husband did with me, or how I saved Niki, or anything else. But in the end, I heard in my mind that I am "Pure" and then it disappeared as soon as it appeared right in front of me. I don't know why it simply Spared me when I was just a Fly in Comparison with it, or what it meant to be "Pure", But the next time I encountered a Nomad I had to use my Cloak to Escape because it attacked me.
She smiled kindly at Traudel while she sees how Niki rolled on her back and presented her belly for Scratching and pets. she was a weird Cat as she loved things that other Cats totally Hated, like getting her Belly Rubbed or taking a Shower with Sonja. Her Litle Companion loved to let the Warm Water Run over her pelt and to get Cleaned by Sonja while they are under the Water.
Sonja: you can Touch her Belly Niki Loves that, I believe sometimes that she is a Half Dog. But back to your Experiences. As I said Nomads are Wierd Beings, at least from our Human Perspective. So you see it had Probably nothing to do with that belief that you are "Not Worth It", it was probably the Wierd Logic of the Nomads. But as we talk about this, do you have the Feeling that you aren't good enough often? I can tell you that Doubts are normal, but if they Dictate your Life then we might have to Work on this. I for example can tell you that i and Niki Treat you the way we do because we like you, You are a Nice Person to talk to and I Treat you like the Friend you are to me.
There is doubt and even slight hints of 'i will regret this' in her expression - but Traudel carefully attempts to touch and pat Niki's belly. Very mindful of her paws, claws and teeth. "I am used to most cats going all wild on whoever has their hand there for too long. But i'll trust you ... and if i get scratched anyway? Oh well, i suppose that is my punishment for having been such a poor servant to her Highness here... " With a smirk she continues to rub the cat's belly. Still careful, but slowly getting more used to the idea.
"Mhhhm... that is quite a good question, Sonja. I ... mhrm. I, for the most part, did not think i wasn't good enough or anything. This only came up in recent days, now that my career took a turn for the unexpected. Steep upwards trend - my own personal view was that of a slow and steady way up. Not ... what happened in the end. Guess i am just not entirely mentally 'there' yet? Is that a thing? Still coming to terms with it? I mean ... ja, i do sometimes feel that others might've been a better choice." Frowning, she observes Niki and her own hand interacting.
"Running into all kinds of situations - back then i looked to a superior and followed suit. Now i am, in most cases, that superior and others do what i did in the past. Look up to me for what direction or approach to take." Slowly shaking her head while thinking about the spoken words. Even narrowing her eyes for a bit, before a simple shrug follows.
"About that Nomad topic, childlike and curios fits it. At least the first one. That very fact made it so much more memorable to me. The chance it may have seen something worthwhile in my mind however is somewhat unsettling. It just creates more questions as to what a Nomad may consider to be that. Also... is it true that the bigger ones are 'better' at communication? Someone mentioned something like that to me, i believe. Those that i met just gave me mostly hard to understand images and ... mental shapes... if that wording makes any sense whatsoever. How was that huge Nomad form in terms of communication? You said weird images - anything else?" There was curiosity, paired with caution in her voice.
[MFE]~Healing.Heart, Sonja Wilkes Doctors Office , Sigma 15 Sonja smiled as Niki began to Purr louder and happier as she was Caressed on her belly and got the love that she wanted from the human she distracts her while Traudel Concentrated on Niki. The Cat really enjoyed it deeply that her belly was rubbed and cuddled by Traudel.
Sonja: well sometimes I Belive that Niki was a Dog in a Previous Life, she likes Belly Rubbs and Loves to take Showers or Baths with me. She is so Dog Like in some points of her Personality, but I love her for that and Let her live her life as she wants to.
She smiled as Niki behaved like a little angel and meowed and purred under Traudels hands like the happy little Furrball that she was. Sonja knew that Traudel had nothing to Frear from Niki as the cat would show her if she didn't like something. But her cat was a chilled one and enjoyed the Love she got from her Servant.
Sonja: well I can understand you better than you might think Traudel. I was saved by Doc Holiday back then and he Healed me, well at least my body. After my Recovery, I wanted to help others as he did for me and so I started to Study Psychology and Medicine. I thought I would become a Traveling Doctor afterward and Help the Woman of the Borderwordls, well to be honest I did that for some time. But then Dr. John Holiday came to me and told me that he would like me to become the Head of Mental Health within MFE. I was shocked and Suprised as i heard this at first, but i accpetd it. But i felt a lot like you in the first Weeks and Months, i doubt every of my Decisions and thought i wouldnt do a good Job or realy help the Pepole. But you know one day i Realized that John Holiday had a Reaso why he chose me for a Reason and that it would only lead to bad things when i would Doubt everyone of my own Decisions.
She smiled friendly at her as she sees how Niki moves on Traudels Lap to get the best spots on body petted by Traudel while the humans talked with each other. Sonja was happy about her litle Companion that Distracted Traudel a little.
Sonja: well about the Nomads. There is not realy a Unviersal Method of Comunication when it comes to them. Most of them i have enocunterd use a form of Mental Comunication, but also some sort of Image Exchange, and others only Wisper words into your mind. But yes i have experienced that they comunicate more Understandable when they are Older and Bigger. But that is sadly not true for all of them, there are also some that play wierd Mindgames with you. What i can advice you is to Remind yourself about the things you are, try to keep your mind in a Neutral Mental State and fight back when you feel that it goes into a direction that you dont feel compfy with. And never forget that you can always come to me when you feel that you need to Talk with me about the things you Experiences, Both on and off Duty of course.
"So they are as unique and different as each of us you are telling me?" Traude lifts her brows a bit, while continuing to caress the ball of fur on her lap. "Mhhhm, i will try to steel my mind against these intrusions, i guess it is as with so many other things in life. Practice is key. Can't improve without facing the real thing sooner or later. I admit, a somewhat scary thought. On the other hand, dear Steph gave me a good mental exercise already. Perhaps... ... i just adapt that. Good soldiers do that, don't they?" Bright blue eyes wander from Niki to Sonja, followed by a onesided smile. "Adjust their tactics, that is."
She shakes her head, smiles more and proceeds to watch Niki react to her hand. Head slightly tilted. "Some of us are just born a bit different, i believe. Exhibiting more traits than others, unexpected to be found in one. Be that Niki as a cat, but enjoying typical dog things... or me. Enjoying freedom and exploration, but actively deciding on something that highly regulates my movement and behaviour. Huh. We must be curious little creatures in the eyes of those that have a good look at us, nein? I bet there is many instances like this, given what you studied and do. Behaviour being so vastly different to what should be expected." Traudel talked to Niki from the looks of it - but it was clear the words were intended for Sonja. Careful optimism locked in combat with more negative feelings of doubt, easily heard in how her voice sounded.
"It... it is a way i had not looked at it yet. That a superior picked you for a reason, i mean. We... we do trust them and their decisions, so why not in this regard? R-right?" Uneasy smile, seeking confirmation by way of eye contact alone. "As Doc Holiday picked you and had his good reasons, so will it be in my case, too. I just... just have to get through all this. Pull myself together, stop the doubting and second-guessing everything." With a sigh her hand rests on Niki for a few moments of silence. "You know, these past weeks i wished a few times i was like Niki here. Not a care in the galaxy, being cuddled and loved. Having a place where there is a clear line to follow. Maybe get a can of tuna once in a while... " Towards the end, Traudel can't help but giggle at the prospect.
"Nein, but honestly. Was there anything in particular you did to get through your first months of... well getting used to it all, Sonja?"
[MFE]~Healing.Heart, Sonja Wilkes Doctors Office , Sigma 15 Sonja smiled at Traudel as she sees how she Acted with Niki. she knew that her little Cat had her way to Seal the Hearts of the People and make them feel better just by getting some cuddles and giving them a Purring back. She nodded as she hears Traudel talking about the Nomads and Smiled.
Sonja: well it is common knowledge that they share some sort of Hive Connection, but they also seem to have some sort of own Personality. The Fact is we know almost nothing about the Nomads so far and they are not really Helping us to find out more about them. But yes to have some Tactics that help you lock them out of your mind if needed can be useful. But be careful I heard stories that it could be dangerous if they Burst into a Mind with Force.
She smiled and laugh as she hears what Traudel had to say about Niki and nodded. It was true that the little Companion was a lot different in the things that most Cats like, or Dislike. But just this Uniqueness made Niki so Perfect for Sonja and made her happy so much, this Litle weird Furrball was the Perfect Companion for her.
Sonja: Yes Niki is Special, to say the least. I would say she is a woman that doesn't care about Rules and Traditions and just does what she likes and doesn't care what others think about her. I admire her for this as she often shows me that we simply think too much about Ridiculus things, and that we should Rather follow our Intentions and what we want to do. And well I think in the eyes of Niki we are all some weird Creatures that are only good for giving her Cuddles and opening her food Cans.
She smiled and nodded as she makes some more Notices when Traudel Speaks about her Job Again. Sonja knew how Traudel Felt and that it was a Big Change to be in charge of People all of a Sudden. But she was sure that Traudel would do a Good Job.
Sonja: yes I am sure that your Superiours have a Reason for your Promotion. And just because you are Promoted now doesn't mean that you can't talk with them anymore and ask them for advice. Your Superiours from before might have the same Rank or are lower or Still, Higher Ranked than you, but you can still talk with them and ask for advice. If you Listen to that advice is then of course entirely your Decision.
She smiled encouragingly at Traudel and made some more Notes in her Medical Record that Traudel had a bit of a Low self-consciousness and should have more trust in herself. She would look to give her a bit more of that and strengthen the view that Traudel had of herself.
Sonja: well I can tell you what I did back in the day as I was in your shoes, but I can't promise that it will help you. I have talked a lot with my Team, I listened to the Advice of people whom I Respected and Liked. I also talked with my Patients and asked them if there was something in their Therapy that they Missed or would like to Change. Like this we Started many Projects that are running to this day, the Garden Therapy is one of these Projects for Example. I also have Broken down the Mountain of Work into Many Smaller ones so that I could work on them one problem after the other, you don't need to do everything at once. No one will expect you to be Perfect from the Start and you shouldn't either, you Will get used to your New Position over time.
