I dock at my favorite station to grab some stuff and got a not so shiny green error message saying me that the commodity I want to obtain is not available, 'cause its 'out of stock'....

Since when have this been implemented and more interesting -WHY- ??
I have a complex route and DONT WANT TO WAIT TILL HELL FREEZES OVER before Iam able to buy what I need to move on....
So, what is that about?

(Station we are talking about is Freeport 10 in Delta, but I also got informations from other people that this effects also most, if not all Gallic bases)
It's because you used to be able to buy synth paste, MOX, or pharmeceuticals on FP 10, and sell them on Dabudoru for a hefty 3.5 million or so in about 3 minutes.
"Out of stock" is a FL hook command that the devs use to prevent people from using "unbalanced" trade routes..

Unbalanced routes? I used to tackle NPC transports in Languedoc on my GRN and sell them on the other side of Gallia for a normal profit. Say about 2-3k per Military vehichle, and 400-500k for a full load of black market munitions. Now, all the prices went down to 100$ per unit. Kinda..meh.
hm, unbalanced... whoel trading is now unbalanced. i know, i was one of the people that was angry on power traders using sig 13 run, but now? you can trade as devil, and you make 20 milions in hour, fine. but tryed someone to pirate someone? try to ask 2-3 milions, and yourealize that majority of traders simply refuse to pay, because they worked for the money longer time as before...
It's a bit disheartening to see trade routes constantly being destroyed.
I haven't traded at all yet simply because I don't have a clue which route to use and don't have time to go around all of Sirius searching for the prices.

Aye, but for that you can also use the 'famous, so much loved' FL Companion... which takes the sense out of the word 'discover'...
But even worst is.... I managed to build up a fitting route for me... and some days later its screwed....

Don't even bother starting now. I used to trade for fun, have cool chats and conversations with people in system and private on my Kain'N'Billeh and have a generaly good laugh. Now, there's either no one to talk to without getting 'lol 2 mil or dai' or no one on your route because people refuse to trade. Meh.
It sounds to me as though this is just one more, albeit small, step to improving the economic system in Discovery. Keep in mind that we are still in beta.
