Greetings, prospective Recruits. My name is Elias Wilder, Commander of ZDF forces in Sirius space. The Zoner Defense Fleet (abbrivated ZDF) operates out of the Inverness system at Freeport 14 near the Taus. Our operational tempo is quite fast and usually reactionary; meaning when the chips are down, we act quickly to defend other Zoners and their homes. We are not a military so much as a defensive fleet created to defend the interests of Zoners in Baffin and abroad. However, while we are not technically a military, we are run like one and all recruits are expected to attend mandatory basic training to ensure that we get the cream of the crop before they are assigned to pilot school. We have a few different divisions that operate within the ZDF that do different things but all work together to form one cohesive unit that makes us who we are. These divisions include: Recon Defense Patrol Escort Each department has it's own quirks that are associated with the job. It is up to you after your training is complete to understand and grow into those roles as suited to you. If you are interested in defending Zoner interests across Sirius, feel free to respond to this communication. After confirmation of your recruitment, you will be directed to report to the Baffin system where you will begin basic training and health assessment. After training, you will report to Freeport 14 for your first assignment. If you have any additional questions, voice them. We will do our best to answer as needed.
